Buffalo. Years ago the goalie for Buffalo has a similar thing happen to him. Luckily then as now he survived. There is a company that worked with the NHL a couple years ago that made a skate blade that was razor sharp like that. It still performed great on the ice, but wouldn't cut. Haven't heard anything about it in like a year now??

I want to say Clint Malarchuk (Buffalo goalie that was throat slashed)

Pretty nuts he was able to skate off immediatly. Props to those trainers too. They were on it. They knew what was up before the camera and everyone else in the building new.

Wow, a month ago I would of never thought anyone would of taken the number 1 seed in the east from Ottawa. Pittsburgh could go into the playoffs with the number 1 spot. That would be amazingly awesome for me.

Just sat down and watched a game from start to finish for the first time this season. Hawks 6 Kings 5, Kings score 4 straight goals in the last 8-9 minutes to tie @ 5, Patrick Sharp wins it in OT. If hockey's been this good all season, I shoulda paid more attention

Sundin has basically said he's not going to waive his no trade clause. I admire the guy for wanting to stand by Toronto, but we can get a TON for him, and easily re-sign him in the offseason. It's really frustrating.

Thanks to Ferguson, for locking up everyone who we could get anything for with a no movement clause.

Being from Detroit, and being relatively close to Toronto, I can say I've been a fan of Sundin my entire life. I understand you wanna play for a team that you've been with for your entire career. All Sundin does is talk about how he wants to help the Leafs rebuild. If he were to be traded to a contender, the Leafs would get A LOT of help. Sundin then plays for the contender, has a chance to win the cup, and then whether or not he does or he doesn't, he goes back to the Leafs in the offseason. But for him to say no and not go through with this, he is not helping the Leafs to rebuild, he is hurting that process

Darren McCarty has signed a 1 year deal with the Red Wings to finish the season with them and be an option in the playoffs.

It's a good move by the Wings and should only be the tip of the iceberg

I don't think it's gonna be the fire sale everyone is predicting for the Leafs. Fletcher is just the interim GM, remember. I don't think the real huge changes will happen till the summer. That said, I'm predicting McCabe to go, and probably either Ponikarovsky or Stajan, maybe both.
