I think if anyone has a small chance to make the playoffs, its the Braves. Colorado does have a pretty brutal ending schedule, and the Braves play the Nats for two and the Marlins for one. It probably won't happen, but it could.

The Braves just won't lose right now. Marlins are the obvious test though. But with taking care of the Nats, we can probably afford a loss somewhere.

lol wow Boston is pathetic. 8-0 start against the Yanks this year, now the season series ends at 9-9 and they are swept, Yanks get the division and the best record all in one shot against them.

Definitely think we're getting our first Yanks/Sox ALCS since 2004 tho.

Me too. Ya gotta root for the Angels. The Red Sox have Beckett and Lester and those guys scare me.

Yanks are gonna be feeling some serious pressure this October. They always do, but this year especially. These 100+ wins will mean nothing without the title.

I'm thinking they make the WS against the Cards. It's really a toss up from there though. If Carpenter and Wainwright are still this hot then, that's a scary 1-2.

Also, BSPN drives me crazy as usual. The Cards clinched their division yesterday. No mention at all of it. Yanks win the division, and they are doing a complete postseason analysis for them.

Cards are basically #1 in NL with titles and have been the most consistent team last few years, Cardinals are more of a regional team than national team. ESPN for the past decade mostly focuses on big city/area teams even if a different area has a better story. Also didn't help that NL Central was weaker than usual while the NL West came out of no where to be an interesting division this year.

I'm aware of all of that...it still pisses me off though. ESPN is weird in that it will seem more biased towards the Yanks or Sox, whoever is playing better. I seem to remember they didn't even give Mets attention in 2006, when they had a 97 win campaign...because the Yanks had that many wins as well. I miss 2006.

And while it did irk me a bit how little press Shea got in its final year, because I personally loved Shea...I can't really argue with the fact that Yankee Stadium had infinitely more history. Shea basically just had the Miracle Mets, the Buckner Ball, the Piazza HR, and 2 straight collapses.

ESPN is even worse with College Sports in their bias since its always just the big schools or namers they cover or try to hype up games and teams like it will be something that never will occur again.

God I can't wait for Sunday around 4 PM. Can finally close the book on this upsetting year. 2 more games left against the Nats and 3 against the Stros. Hope they can pull out 3 more wins just to get to 70 (which, admittedly, is better than I thought they'd finish a month ago when Santana went down)

Wow. Minnesota v. Detroit got postponed, so doubleheader today/tonight with the AL Central on the line. Hopefully Detroit gets at least 1 out of 2, would love to have both though as that would take the magic # to 3(I think?).

Haha, yeah, that won't be happening if we take at least 3 from them in this series, as that would put us up by 5 with only 4 games a piece. Not saying it'll happen, but I will be hugely disappointed to see yet another season go to waste in the final week by Detroit.
