Not gonna post a new thread since it's only rumours at this point, but game sites are reporting that someone at Activision leaked some details about Call of Duty 7. Supposedly it will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops, and it takes place in a variety of time periods between WW2 and modern day.

Would the multiplayer be compatible with an approach like that? Would WW2 maps allow Vietnam weapons? Sounds sloppy and desperate.

i had the WORST night last night. Not that I played bad...but it was one of those nights where you say 'fuck, i hate this community'.

- Modded game where every care package was a nuke that didnt go off for 1500 minutes

- 3 straight games where a team was boosting for nukes, and the asshole we kept calling out would leave, come into the game, and not bother trying to capture ANY positions, and just run into the opposite team to die

- 2 games where the team we were on didnt give a rat ass about winning a Domination game, instead opting to try to get their K/D up.

- switched to another game, and played 3 games where the OPPOSITE team didnt care about winning capture the flag, instead just camping for kills, making shit very boring.

- and capped off with some annoying ass kids were just annoying fucks who were talking shit about their k/d and quick scoping skills, while losing the match. When told that k/d isnt that impressive in a skirmish game and they should go play deathmatch and put their ass on the line, they got even more annoying.

It would only be customizable to the era your game mode/map is in.

Everyone is in the lobby. A map in the vietnam era pops up. Everyone vetos it and it moves on to a WWII era map. All weapons/perks/classes are from the WWII era. Common sense.

Of course, it's all speculation so I don't really feel like wasting my breath.

If its really going to be based off of Black Ops stuff then the game might be similar to Splinter Cell in terms of gameplay ideas (espionage, assassinations, etc).

Probably end up as a sniper for Vietnam Era since that was the main solo or small group teams for special missions.

"Black Ops" does not entail Splinter Cell gameplay, nor do I expect CoD to go anywhere near that style.

Well not exactly Splinter Cell gameplay but the idea behind it of how your basically doing missions that normally would be against the laws of war or stuff that would get any government in huge trouble if it was leaked out.

Yeah this is their year for CoD since last year was Infinity Ward. I think next year is when the 3rd studio is added to the mix.

It was originally rumored to be set in Vietnam but I wouldn't be surprised if the new Medal of Honor set in Afghanistan made Activision change the plans for the next Call of Duty game.

Was playing with my clan last night doing domination matches, dropped my first nuke after going 40-1

Love playing with a good coordinated team, who gives great info.

Firewall was the assault man, kept them pinned back and when someone got too close to him...BOOM Headshot.

Paulie stayed about 200 yards out from me covering B/C at the corner and had claymores set up incase I couldnt get the guy before he rounded the corner.

The rest of my team played support roles in keeping 2/3 flags at all times.

Sadly, I could have posted a much better score, as I got excited and dropped the nuke as soon as I got it instead of continuing

Anyways, just had to post this

The other team actually did very well in the previous match, but we just gave them a beating in this one.

Just forked over $15 for a handful of Modern Warfare 2 maps? Good luck trying to get it going! A number of Xbox 360 users are reporting that the Stimulus Pack DLC isn't launching on Xbox Live. The pack can be downloaded and players can get as far as the lobby, but when they do, the game just perpetually counts down and never actually gets a game going.

Microsoft is aware of the problem and Major Nelson has confirmed that engineers are working on a fix. Apparently, it needs a title update which will launch soon.

Modern Warfare 2 having problems with its online component? Why, who ever could have imagined such a thing? Seems like par for the course, to be honest, although made all the more aggravating thanks to the arrogant decision to charge users 1200 f*cking MS Points for the privilege.
