yes Fallen Angel

teams play the other teams in their division's 8 times and 4 games against a division in the other conference and 4 other games against other teams.

and being that the Colts and Saints are in opposite conferences and t heir divisions aren't playing each other the only way they could play each other this year is in the Super Bowl

Some Browns fan is trying to organize a protest during the Ravens/Browns MNF game in which everyone stays out of the stadium until after the kickoff. Good luck with that, but it would be awesome to see them playing in front of an empty stadium.

I think it was the Pirates fans or a different crappy team fanbase in baseball that tried something like that this season. It sort of worked in the sense around 5,000 less people were in the stadium and made it look bad on tv but at same time the seats were already paid for so the team took no hit in lost ticket revenue that game.

On paper yeah the Saints are favored big time since their crushing people left and right. The numbers they put up on offense of throwing for 350 and rushing for 150 are daunting for a struggling ATL D (especially with no CB's). But they had 2 good games last year, splitting the series.

Under the bright lights of Monday Night I expect the crowd to be insane. I find it hard to believe that the Falcons will come out flat like like they finished in Dallas. Saints have a fantastic team, but i honestly like the Giants over them in the playoffs.

I would say I like the Giants over the Saints, since I feel the Giant running game could control the clock and keep the Saints offense off the field, but with Bradshaw having this broken bone in his foot is a little worrisome.

I dont know abou the giants.... Id actually go with the Eagles over them in the playoffs because of their big play potential and theyre known for turning it on in the playoffs

Trust me. I'll say this right now. I guarantee you you'll see shakey calls in the playoffs for Giants and Colts because the NFL wants the Manning matchup. It will never be better then it will be this year.

I am of the opinion that the Falcons will try this on Monday, and it won't work. Controlling the clock is tough with a team that seems to always score within 3-5 minutes. I think teams will have to beat the Saints in a shootout to stand a chance. And the Saints are pretty damn healthy right now, so they are shooting on all cylinders.

Well the Falcon run game right now is just awful Boom. Its painful when watching it. I mean people wanna point to the fact that Turner packed on some weight in the off season so hes lost a step. I mean yeah he looks a little slower when trying to hit the hole but its also the play calling I think.

Were not taking the shots down field so were not really stretching the defenses. I think Malarkey has gotta open up the pass and take some shots down field. It also hurts when Norwood is out of the lineup. When he went down I knew the offense would struggle since he opens things up and brings a whole different pace to the offense.

Actually, it's:

Each division opponent twice = 6 games
One AFC division = 4 games
One NFC division = 4 games
Two other teams who finished the same place in their division, but aren't in the division the team is already playing = 2 games

Example on the last one, since it's kinda confusing. Denver, New England, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh each finished second in their respective divisions last year. This years Denver plays the AFC North. So that means the two second place teams they play will be New England (AFC East) and Indianapolis (AFC South). Hope that helps.

QB=Quarterback, recieves ball from center (guy who snaps it between his legs) when the down starts. Either hands off to a running back or passes to a reciever.

RB=running back, generally receives a hand off from the quarterback and runs through a hole created by the linemen. ?He can also be tosses the ball and even recieve the ball in a pass in passing plays. He also helps block in passing plays.

FB=Full back, same as running back but is generally just an extra blocker and rarely gets the ball.

WR=Wide receiver, generally lines up wide away from most of the other players hence the name. They usually only recive the ball in pass plays, but there is certain situations where they are handed it to run. They also help block defensive backs in running plays.

TE=Tight End, A player that lines up 'tight' to the formation. They are players that are big enough to be linemen, and athletic enough to carry the ball. They block just like a lineman in both running and passing plays, but can also be very useful as a reciever in passing plays because they may go uncovered, or be a bad matchup for smaller defensive backs.

OL=Ofensive linemen, The giants that line up in a line of five men. the center snaps the ball through his legs to the QB. next to him on each side is a gaurd, and the outter most position for linemen is the tackle. They never get the ball, in fact it is illegal. All they do is block.

DL=Defensive linemen, The even bigger dudes that line up over the center and gaurds that will try and stop run plays of and offense by being immovable and rushing the QB on pass plays.

DE=Defensive end, same as above but a lot more athletic and smaller. They usually line up over the tackles and try to run right around them to get to the QB on pass plays.

LB=Line backer, and defensive player that stays standing usually about 1-5 yards off the line of scrimmage. They are probably the most important players on the defense because the defense is usually made for them to make all the tackles. They are generally the most athletic and violent players on any team. They can cover TE and slow recievers, blitz the QB, and shelp in stuffing the run.

DE=Defensive end, same as above but a lot more athletic and smaller. They usually line up over the tackles and try to run right around them to get to the QB on pass plays.

LB=Line backer, and defensive player that stays standing usually about 1-5 yards off the line of scrimmage. They are probably the most important players on the defense because the defense is usually made for them to make all the tackles. They are generally the most athletic and violent players on any team. They can cover TE and slow recievers, blitz the QB, and shelp in stuffing the run.

I don't even think I'm gonna watch most of the second half of this game.

Giants are exposing themselves as a fraud team. They had one impressive win in Dallas and then they won 4 games against teams that barely qualify as NFL teams.

I'll give them next week, if they lose to San Diego and drop to 5-4 before the bye, they might very well miss the playoffs for the first time since 2004. Sucks saying that in the crappy NFC but there are at least enough decent teams to get the two wild card spots and the Giants don't have very many easy games in the second half - Redskins and Panthers, that's about it.

The Giants are good enough to beat up on crappy teams, but not even close to competing with the conference elite. As far as I'm concerned, the Giants were lucky Romo played poorly in their contest with Dallas.

Their secondary is abysmal, the loss of Kenny Phillips was huge and that is apparent by the play of CC Brown. It doesn't seem like Bill Sheridan can devise a scheme to get pressure as Spags could, and he seems to be getting out coached by superior competition for the past three weeks. On top of the defensive woes, Manning is playing like complete shit the past three weeks, and the overall offensive philosophy is way too predictable. If I can sit on my couch and predict the Giants' offense then so can opposing defenses.
