The WWE shill gimmick is fine. I just think any semblance of believability goes away when you actually claim Alex Riley is not an abomination. There's a limit. I mean have you SEEN the guy speak?

Yes, and he does a good job on the WWE pre and post shows. Is he Jim Ross or Bobby Heenan? Fuck no, but he easily the best of the wrestlers on the panels. The biggest regret WWE should have on Alex Riley is wasting that awesome theme music on him.

I also recommend the "WrestleMania Rewind" on Jericho/HHH at WMX8. I always get a tear in my eye when I see the clip of HHH returning at MSG on a cold yet timeless night in January 2002.

I disagree that this doesn't feel like a huge Mania, but this could be a landmark WrestleMania because of all the guys who could be cemented to that next level in one night.

That's a good point.

I watched the last 40 minutes of the show, and for 35 of those minutes the show was lifeless. Daniel Bryan drew the only reaction, and it was a very good reaction.

The Authority doing the Fandango thing. Triple H vs the chants hype package was pretty good.

I know the whole "Fandango is a great talent. He's a B+, maybe even an A player." was probably just Triple H just rubbing in the fact that Daniel Bryan is only a B+ player while a jobber like Fandango might be an A. I want to believe it was a genuine thought though and Triple H actually sees how fucking incredible Johnny Curtis really is and eventually pulls his head out of his ass and figures out a way to push him to the moon like he should have been all along.
