IGN has apparently gotten back the roster reveal duties rather than THQ/2k doing one reveal "special".

Looks like they'll be gradually unveiling the roster. They're revealing 12 people this week. Apparently the link has been removed (probably got posted early by mistake) but someone snapped up this picture from the article.

Yea......

Looked great last year too (well, the shots they showed). It will be best if they actually scanned everyone and not just "big names".

Also would like to "see it in action" to really determine if physics have improved as they claim.

Nah, physics look exactly the same



Also concerning it wasn't playable at Gamescom this year. Even the delayed 2k15 was, so either not on time again, or don't want to admit just yet it's almost exactly the same game as last year.

Last years game wasn't bad. It looking the same isn't a bad thing. Madden looks the same every year.

Yes, certainly everyone is going to do just that. STFU trying to speak for everybody. I happen to quite enjoy all the entrances in the games and I NEVER (voice of Y2J), ... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVEEEEEEERRRR skip or turn off entrances.

Maybe casual players who don't give a millionth of a fuck about a "wrasslin'" game will do that, but it's just pretentious and annoying that you automatically assume everyone will. SMDH

I was talking about the match segments after.

The entrances are hilarious in their own right. Not even the live crowd looks at them and the fact that they still use camera cuts because they can't work out how to make a model walk from out of the actual opening since WWE changed to the generic set is hilarious.

Heh. As long as we still get new models - which we do, I don't have a problem with this. Sooner they keep people in and add a few more than remove a bunch and a few a few new faces. Sort of a "more the merrier" type deal. I'm never gonna play as Adnan but it's sort of a bonus to have him there.

This is what frustrates me in the past; in order to add new stuff in they'd remove a bunch of other stuff. Massive hype over being able to fight in the crowd, only for that to be removed 2 games later. These games should be progressive, we shouldn't have an either/or situation.

I'm glad to see certain things return (like rope-assist pin, arguing with the Ref, pre-match, post-match stuff) but it bugs me that they went away in the first place.

Other franchises, particularly sports games, tend to build on what came before. You'll never get a FIFA game where there are less teams/leagues to choose from for example. They get progressively bigger. That's what I want from my WWE game.

WWE don't present men vs. women matches (or man on woman violence at all) so that makes sense. You'll rarely go a week without someone fighting in the crowd.

I love checking out the roster as much as the next guy. Fun entrances, music and PYRO!! Problem every year is that they really focus on the roster reveal and not much else. Sweet, Kalisto and Eva Marie are in.....now what about the replay factor that they're missing every year? Will WM feel like the "Showcase of the Immortals" or will it be another house show but with titles up for grabs? Will Universe be fun and streamlined with some secret or character specific stories and decisions or will it be match after match of the same thing just with a different stipulation every week?

So far I don't see anything to get excited about since it seems they're on track to do the same thing they've done the last 3-4 years: Tweak the gameplay slightly, switch out one Showcase for another and....that's about it.

Sports games have a built in replay value. It's competition. They don't have to do anything to keep that alive except make sure Multiplayer doesn't suck a major dick.

WWE Universe mode won't be any more fun.

This isnt Madden, we watch WWE for the story as much as the competition. No story in online. I'm sure lots of people like it, but I've never cared for it in a wrestling game.

We'll see how this turns out. Probably rent it before I spend the $60+ on it. Honestly the lack of custom music is really making me not want to buy this at all. Customization has always been my favorite part of the WWE games, and it doesn't sound like this one is even coming close to the older games.
