Doesn't gifting that much money kinda take away from the point of the game? Why complete missions/heists/hold up stores/etc if you can wait to be given $500,000? Seems like a ridiculous amount.

I don't think it's a bad thing, it definitely makes up for the slow launch. I'm still going to rob stores and all that to build a little fortune to purchase a better house, I live under the overpass in a 2 car garage

I imagine that 400k apt isn't going to stay the most expensive option. Only a matter of time before they enable people to buy some of the big mansions and what not up in the hills.

I don't think you quite understand the backlash over the problems they were having. TPWW is fairly reasonable when it comes to this stuff, but we're a small minority. Go take a gander at the gamefaqs boards.

Also, having an expensive apartment doesn't mean the game is over. Not by a long shot.

Yeah me too. Been hoarding my money to save up for one, but when I see cars that are 10m I find it hard to believe the most expensive residence will be capped at 400k. Doesn't seem to fit.

Having an apartment isn't nearly as big a deal as leveling up to unlock some nasty shit. We can see now why R* wasn't worried about DLC money packs. A million dollars doesn't get you Lester or Merryweather's awesome services any earlier.

Never thought of that, gonna have to do that. Every time I've tried to get a BMX bike and go to one of the half pipes, I always get harassed by random assholes who just want to kill you over and over. Luckily, I have better weapons than most people already so I've been able to hold people off for a while until I finally say fuck it and leave because they won't stop.

The most money as far as I've seen is from playing Survivor games, but it still would take an hour or more to get to 20-25k with a decent team. Unless Fallen Angel has glitched somehow.

I almost led off that comment by saying how absurd it would be to think anyone who just started the game could even grind that much money overnight in an all-night play session. No amount of grinding will do that until you are high level and have access to other missions with quick payouts. The fact that he made that comment shortly after the announcement should seem obvious... Further, the fact you thought FAngel capable of doing the same mission over and over to grind money the first night he even plays the online mode.. considering the types of things he bitches about in games. Well.. lol..

Usually I love you Req, but come on. Fangel will probably claim that what you are saying here is the truth, but I don't believe it. We all know the 500k isn't coming yet, so if that is what he was referring to, then wtf? Why claim you got something that everyone knows you didn't? No point to it in any way shape or form.

Also, if he was referring to the free 500k, then that means he is saying he pulled a nice long grind session and only made 2k, which is equally laughable.
