Ridiculous. I'm confident with a 3.5 game lead and playing the Nats and Marlins from here on out (with a makeup game against the Cards thrown in)...but damn.

I'll shit myself if it somehow ends up being a Mets/Phils NLCS.

Jays are mathematically out, have been for a couple games now. Again today, they leave so many men in scoring position with 0 or 1 out and can't get a run in. Very frustrating to watch.

Wow, what a game. Jeter came up big time with that HR and Mo continues to make things interesting in Fenway every time he pitches there.

Today was a big game to win just for the fact that Detroit seems to be playing really well and are kind of creeping up on us in the wild card. It would be pretty great if the Indians sweep them in the next series.

We didn't really have a chance at the East even if we did sweep. I would have liked a sweep though not because of the East but because of the lead we have in the Wild card. Basically I don't care about the AL East. Boston won in the 2004 World Series being first in the Wild Card. I am really hoping for it to be Vice Versa this year.

Yeah Lowell is seriously overlooked IMO. Apparently he's expressed interest in coming to the Mets but I doubt that would happen...only place they'd be able to put him is 2B where he's played a whopping 8 games his whole career.

Speaking of which, I wish Mets fans would stop predicting A-Rod will come to Queens. It ain't gonna happen...One of Reyes or Wright would have to go to 2B (no way A-Rod would go there), and Reyes already has proven he sucks at 2B. Wright's said he'd gladly move over and learn the position for A-Rod but it's not gonna happen regardless.

I've been to a lot of baseball stadiums, and while places like Baltimore are way more comfortable/better designed I still love sitting down the first baseline at Fenway. Seeing balls fly up into the Green Monster seats is really something else

I'd love to sit up there, but I think they are 125+ dollars face value alone - The seats I had where like 85 dollars I think...I was looking around on eBay and Stubhub and they where going for like 430+ dollars. So I can only imagine how much the Monster Seats would be going for

lol Steve Phillips cracks me up. He said that C.C. Sabathia has the potential to win 300 games in his career, even though right now at 27 he has 98 wins, so he has to pitch 10 seasons with at least 20 wins to get there. Given his size and injury record, I'm pretty sure he's not getting there.
