This Yankees comeback infuriates me. Probably because like every single Yankee fan in my school (hundreds) completely gave up on them and stopped watching the games in May. Like, totally stopped watching baseball. Now they are all coming back out of the woodwork like nothing happened. Fucks.

Anyway, nice to see a Mets win finally. Magic number at 10...possibly 9 later if the Cards win. Going to Florida now where they've played well all year. We'll see.

Nice win for the Yanks. Mo made it interesting again in the 9th.

The 4 game series with Toronto is gonna be tough though. Having to face Halladay, Marcum, McGowan and Burnett definitely won't be easy especially considering Burnett seems unstoppable right now.

What the FUCK Johnathan Broxton. Piece of shit. Our bullpen has been SO terrible as of late. in the WORST POSSIBLE FUCKING TIME. They were solid all year, to collapse in the last 2-3 weeks. FUCK.

The Red Sox better watch out. Never in a million years did I think we'd get this close. For the whole year I thought if they were lucky they'd get the Wildcard. Now it could be possible that the Red Sox end up in the Wildcard if that.

yesterday I was musing about how Francona left Gagne in when he should have got Paplebon in the game. Well. The next game he brings in Paps. (i call him that, you know, cause were 'tight') and Paps gives up a grandslammy to the soft hitting Russ Adams. Don't get me wrong Adams is a gritty player and in fact is the one that won the game the other night by doubling in 2 go ahead runners VS Gagne, but Paps should have been able to get him out...

Hey Yankee fans, don't get too cocky. The Jays are coming to town and we are planning on giving you what the RedSox just got.

Wow unbelievable, after having like the one of best bullpens for the entire season the Red Sox relievers are completely tanking it. Well the whole team is pretty much tanking it. Can't believe the Yankees are only 1 game back right now.

It's kinda pissing me off though how everyone is saying how the Gagne trade was a bad move - it really wasn't. Nobody could have predicted this breakdown for Gagne, and what they gave up wasn't really all that bad. A pitcher with a history of elbow problems who was at his highest value ever and a outfielder who had no shot of ever playing in the majors for the Red Sox. I really thought Okajima, Gagne and Papelbon would be lights out.

Still though the Yankees are one game out so it's not like its over yet, however the way Red Sox have been playing is pretty disappointing.

It was Gange's "last chance" to prove himself, at least that's what they got out of Francona w/o him saying the exact words... I don't expect to see him on the post season roster.

That being said, it's pretty clear here Francona and cares little about the division and views the Wildcard or Division as the same thing.

He's resting everyone who needs it, getting the at-bats for whoever needs them, letting pitchers try prove themselves (Gange) and other role players to earn their post-season roster spot.

Barry Bonds and the San Francisco Giants will part ways after this season, according to Bonds' Web site.

Bonds cites a recent conversation with Giants owner Peter McGowan, in which McGowan told Bonds his play this year exceeded expectations but that the orginization decided this would be Bonds' last season with the team.
"Although I am disappointed, I've always said baseball is a business - and I respect their decision," Bonds said on his Web site. "However, I am saddened and upset that I was not given an earlier opportunity to properly say goodbye."
