And that Palamalu interception that was overturned. Look i'm a die hard Colts fan, but i have to admit.
The fix was in. That guy took like 5 minutes to look at that. It was almost like someone from the league called him and gave him the exact wording to use when he overturned the call. That was rediculous. I didnt wanna win it like that ( Tho if we would have won , i wouldnt say a damn thing ... ). Oh well. I doubt we will ever field a team as good as this one and i'm pretty convinced i wont see any of my teams win a title any time soon. It really just isnt meant to be in Indiana. I just dont know what else to say. |

I just hope that Payton doesn't get stuck like Marino did by being the greatest quarterback and yet never getting the ring.
Eli will get one, I'm just not sure that Payton will. |

If I have to sit through years of Eli falling short at such a young age, I might just quit before it begins.

I just feel that the Seahawks, above all other teams, are a product of their schedule. Of the 13 wins, maybe 5 are legit.
They went 6-0 in their division? Well then thats got to mean they're Super Bowl bound. To take on the powerhouse Cardinals and 49ers four times in a season, that tells you this team is destined for the championship. ![]() But don't stop the presses just yet, because the Seahawks also played the Titans, Texans, and Eagles. This "incredible offense" of the Seattle had 4 more net yards than the Eagles while most of their TDs came from picking the future Hall of Famer, Mike McMahon. They just barely squeaked by the Giants. In my opinion, New York outplayed them in just about every way. They even had a zillion false starts, and still managed to put up a fight. Feely just fucked it up. True, they also beat the Colts. The Colts were without Marvin Harrison, Bob Sanders, and Cato June. Manning only played a quarter. They did already clinch home-field. BUT WHOS COUNTING. That leaves the Falcons and the Cowboys. At the time, the Falcons wern't terrible and Seattle did a pretty good job the first half. Almost blew it in the second half though. They just barely edged out the Cowboys in that final drive too. Should the Seahawks be a playoff team? Probably. Should they be a number 1 seed? Probably not. In my opinion, I haven't been impressed with them all season. And I know The Miz is going to shoot me down and give me sats and analysis, but don't bother because I don't care. I don't want to get into a Miz-Vel/RP-Vel/whatever type of arguement that goes on forever. They just haven't impressed me and thats why. |

If you take this post and replace the word Seahawks with Panthers it makes perfect sense. Carolina beat New England, great. And who else? Tampa Bay? Minnesota? Uh... Arizona? Their schedule was equally as crappy as the Seahawks', but with a few exceptions they beat the teams they should've. Why aren't you calling them overrated? I've heard alot of NFL commentators talk about the Seahawks, and 99% of them mention the easy schedule. I don't see how you can say they're overrated when every single person points this out. Every single team in the NFC had an easy schedule, because the NFC is shit. I think Seattle and Carolina have proven all year long they are the two best teams in the NFC and I'm glad they're facing off. I like our chances; we've been playing well at home, Hasselbeck and Jackson are on fire, we're completely healthy, and we're much less nervous now that the monkey is off our back. Carolina is missing their top 2 running backs as well as possibly their best lineman. I still think they have a great shot, Delhomme and Smith are playing good enough to overcome the running game, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they return to the SuperBowl. |

The Broncos may not be overrated, they just make me angry. Why is it that not one god damn team in the NFL can figure out a play to stop the bootleg. I swear, Jake bootlegs like a million times every game and it always gets them. It's like the defense just stops in their tracks with their jaws wide open and go "OMG WTF a bootleg? WHAT DO WE DOOO?!?!!111" You'd think of the 11 athletes on the field and the brains of the coordinaters and coaches that SOMEONE would figure out just one play to prevent it. It just pisses me off is all.

Denver had something like under 30yds on 24 points... Ugh... I say again, I would have rathered a 48-7 blow out then to lose this way. Last 10 playoff games 6 turnovers, 11th game 5 turnovers. |

Hey RP,
Just wondering how the reaction/press is in Indy vs. nationally. Nationally 2 people are getting it hard. 1) Vanderjerk, because this isn't the first time he's missed a "key kick" and this was in a dome. 2) Manning, not for his play, but his comments after the game about the OL. Quote:
I dunno, just seems to me like he hung his OL out to dry on that one, that's a comment I'd expect from Dan Marino, and didn't expect that from Manning personally. and how's Johnny Walker Black work for ya? (got a bottle as a holiday gift I haven't cracked yet). |

I think what he meant to say was the "blocking schemes" was an issue, It would be difficult to argue that the Colts don't have a good OL, I think the issue was they weren't properly prepared for the Blitz pakacges of Pitssburg. So, there's already talk that w/o the Pats going for a 3-peat or Manning going for his first, that the networks aren't happy and that Ad rates are going down. I'll watch no matter what, normally do, and I just want a good game. Neck, Stl v. Tennese came down to the last play! If I have to root for a team now it's Carolina, the only reason I'd like to see Pittsburg win is for Bettis to get a ring, in his last game, in his home town... Although, him doing his little celebration talk/bobing head act after a 1yd gain gets a little tiring. |

LOL I love when people talk at the Pro Bowl. i.e. Culpepper, who pissed Moss off.
![]() But on the other hand, what was it exactly that VanJagerMeister said last year? Something about mental toughness and clutch? ![]() Either way, I think he forgot exactly what it was he had said... ![]() |

So, what does everyone think about the end of the Chicago/Carolina game?
PTI was arguing tonight, one felt it was a cheap shot move and attempt to injur Delhome and someone else felt it was a "last ditch try anything to win" type move. I'm suprised we've never seen it tried before and it almost worked, he did fumble. I wonder how many copycats we'll see next season. |

Miz, is Shawn Alexander gay? I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, but everytime he interviews with the media he comes off as being a "fayg". His word choice and speaking style is kinda gayish. And when he jumped up and down and clapped when Seattle got a touchdown, that was kinda gay too. I even tried to do a search for his bio to see ih hes married, but I can't find anything. He's still the man though if he is or isn't.

His has a wife and two daughters, but that doesn't make him not gay. I doubt it though. He's just a really white black guy. If he was gay there's no way he would come out before retiring.

KIRKLAND, Wash. (AP) -- Shaun Alexander was feeling "loopy" on Saturday.
By Monday, the NFL rushing leader was back in the loop for the Seattle Seahawks as they prepare for the NFC championship game against the Carolina Panthers. Two days after a concussion knocked Alexander out of Seattle's playoff win over Washington, Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said he expects doctors to clear the star running back for practice Wednesday. |

And on Shaun Alexander, I think hes still got something to prove. I've never seen a guy with a concussion jumping up and down eating sunflower seeds before. He wasn't even hit that hard either. Good luck againest the Panthers, Dan Morgan is a sick motherfucker and they are all going to be gunning for Alexander because he came off extremely soft after the Redskins game. I don't even wanna talk about the Pats game either, I was all fired up about the horrible pass interference call but then Brady threw a 100 yard INT, Troy Brown fumbled and Vinteri missed a field goal. I just knew it wasn't in the cards for the Patrtiots. Al Wilson looked really impressive in the game, he's really stepped his game up. It will be interesting to see what happens next season. |

It doesn't take a hard hit to get a concussion. And whenever you do have one (whether it's a slight concussion or a more severe), you shouldn't be inserted back into the game. Concussions aren't something to take lightly. If I had to guess, he had a slight concussion and they were just playing it safe. What else does he have to prove? 89 rushing touchdowns, 11 receiving, 5 consecutive seasons with 1000+ yards, has missed one start since the '02 season, good with the football, sure hands, best RB in the NFL. What exactly does he have to prove? That he can win a Super Bowl? In due time. |

Yes, Peyton Manning should alter his style of playing since it hasn't worked at all for him. Nice observation.

Does Peyton need to alter his "style" dunno, but would make an offseason of work on footwork, and maybe Indy using a "moving pocket" at times help? Believe it or not, Drew Bledsoe is actually faster then Tom Brady (speed and release) the difference is, Brady has great footwork which makes him "look fast". Just seems when they get beat, it's always by Blitzing teams or teams that jamn the WR's and throw off the timing patterns... Every year they hit the playoffs and this happens, they have to do something... They have such a great team... They should be in a super bowl.... I still think it falls back on coaching... these guys have the tools, there is something the coach just isn't getting out of them, or a situation they're not putting them in. |
