Meh Raw. think yesterday was so awesome it just blurred the fact of run of the mill WWE programming. However, we now have an angle that is still wide open.


Think Vince is genuinely leaving his role on screen. those tears seemed real in a sense of its happening,. they're just using it as a storyline too.

I'm not entirely sure what people wanted. The angle is so hot, it had to be the entire focus for the show, which every match and segment was. Great, slightly unexpected ending which gives the whole thing about 8 paths it could go down.

The only thing I will say is that unless Punk is legit hurt or so burnt out he does need an extended break, he needs to come back by Summerslam. It will be a huge ball drop by whichever side doesn't let that happen. Maybe I'll accept the Raw after Summerslam, but no later than that.

I liked how everything felt rushed and chaotic. Vince really wasn't sure what to do with Punk winning the belt, so he just threw this thing together and tried to sweep everything under the rug. It all felt very natural for Triple H to step in and do what he had to do, because he was clearly losing it. It was a good Raw in my eyes.

Also, PPVs are SUPPOSED to be much better than weekly TV shows, so nobody should be surprised that Raw wasn't as good as Money in the Bank.

I don't get why some people don't realize this plays right into the Punk angle.

Punk himself said "I'd like to think the company would be better when Vince is dead, but then his... doofus son-in-law will take over."

Essentially, it's part of Punk's prophecy. Vince is "dead" and HHH is running things. Part of me thinks this will lead to Punk vs HHH, as Punk coming back as the "savior of wrestling." Basically, his love of wrestling takes over, and he can't stand watching HHH destroy the company that's responsible for all his childhood memories or some BS, so he gives HHH a challenge. Specifically, Punk vs HHH one on one, HHH wins, WWE gets its precious title back. CM Punk wins, HHH steps down and walks away from wrestling forever.

From there, they could have someone who "respects" wrestling run things (CM Punk, Chris Jericho, HBK, Bret Hart, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, etc.) Mind you the new person running things, if not an active wrestler, wouldn't have to be on TV a lot, but just play the ""behind the scenes, show up occasionally when there's a big issue" roll.

Was really excited for this RAW but didn't like it too much. Ended up watching more of the Yankee game. The matches were pretty good I guess and it was a decent ending but I was hoping for something way great. Hopefully it'll just be a good build for future RAWs. I GUESS I'll try and watch next week

You mean aside from the botch around 3:20, the terrible landings, the terrible submission holds, or the fact that it was 5 minutes? Maybe it was the Miz's terrible jump off the top at 4:20. Maybe the following Cloverleaf that looked even worse than The Rock's sharpshooter.

Mayyyyyyyyyyyybe it was the fact that none of it was even remotely convincing to me.

Man, I dunno. If anyone gets behind matches like that I suppose I will never argue you out of knowing a shit match when you see one.
