I have a feeling Nash vs Punk will still happen. It was just so fucking random to do it at the end of the night like that. Obviously wasn't even shown in the arena.

If it doesn't happen, I'm thinking Nash may have failed the talent tests or something. And if it doesn't, they're blowing their load WAAYYYYYYY to early on Punk vs Hunter. That needs to stew until AT LEAST Survivor Series, preferably longer. Hunter is still being shoehorned into his spot, and Punk is still finding his place at the top.

Thinking about it, maybe Vince made/is making the call. Or Johnny Ace is making it for Vince. And something weird will happen in the match.

Crowd seemed pretty dead for Punk/Miz. Boo-urns for whatever city they were in.

Lawler is really hurting Otunga and McGillicutty with his commentary. Burying them way worse than Michael Cole has ever buried anybody. I mean, I don't even like Otunga or Mikey McG, but yeah... feel kinda bad for them.

Also, Sheamus and Cena. Commentators kept mentioning their "storied past" and if they could trust one another... but there wasn't even like, a look of hesitation, dislike, or distrust. -1 point for the Sheamus face turn.

I actually liked it. First interesting thing Otunga and Hennig have been involved in since the Nexus

I like that it seems to be going somewhere. Just, the comments did not need to be as harsh to get the same result.

Unlike the fucking WEEKLY "Daniel Bryan is a geek/dweeb/nerd and is boring" comments from Cole which are going nowhere and doing nothing.

LttP:

- Really? nWo porn music? We want Deisel Blues! Besides, that song infers an appearance by Hall, or at least some X-Pac-ery.

- Is it just me, or does Nash seem kinda Botox-y? Getting a facelift is fine, but dying your hair is cause for grumble?

- Expected Punk to say something about "sympathy quad tears". Thanks a lot, TPWW!

- So, we can swear now in the 'E, but we can't say "douchebag". Good to know!

- Will Lil' Naitch be reprising his role from WCW as "yes man" to Laurenitus?

- [sarcasm] Punk got the jobber entrance? I'm shocked there aren't 3 threads about this happening- in between two more threads about one Hardy or another. Also waiting on the gif for Punk mocking Miz, or Punk saying "WHO WANTS TO FIGHT?!" that sounded suspiciously like "WHO WANTS TO FUCK?!" I am dissapoint. [/sarcasm] (I remember'd the tags this time)

-"OH SNAP! WE FORGOT THE LIGHTING TREATMENT FOR SIN CARA! LETS JUST TURN IT ON WITH THE MATCH IN PROGRESS! NOT DISTRACTING AT ALL!"

- Air Boom. I would have gone with something like Flying Frenzy or something, but whatevs. It's short, sweet, to the point, and incorporates both men. Insignia and t-shirts coming soon. Hope they look cool.

- I actually made an accurate prediction? DANGER!!! BEWARE, THE APOCALYPSE IS NIGH!!! Actually, don't crawl into your bomb shelters yet, because I also said they'd get themselves a manager/makeover upon confronting Lawler. More specifically, they get added to Vicki's stable.

- The nose to nooooose announcement about the "match change" at NoC seemed kind of just slapdashed in there. "YAAAAAY, CENA WINS!! You and me, Punk. YAAAAAY, BACK TO CENA WINS!" Something so "important" seemed kind of afterthought-y.

No we don't. Stop that.

Also, I'm liking the new presentation where backstage segments are happening while celebrations are happening and that little highlight package for Dolph before his match with Orton.

The idea is okay of things happening in the world at the same time, but something that was supposed to be all epic got completely undersold because all the focus was on what was going on in the ring. It came off like "oh, by the way, I'm taking Nash's place at the PPV". This whole angle was leading up to that moment and it seemed to me it deserved a bit more focus.

It'd be like if during Jericho's debut he had no countdown, no pyro, and during his speech he just gets cut of by The Rock so he can continue cutting a promo on the Big Show. What is widely considered one of the biggest debuts ever would have been completely wiped away. I know this is an extreme example, but its what I used to make my point. HHH/Punk announcement should have been HUGE- not an afterthought.

They were known backstage as the Kliq, so it wouldn't make sense for them to reunite as anything other than that. Some members were never in DX, and Triple-H was never in the nWo.

However, I personally would love to see the nWo come back. Shawn Michaels obviously wouldn't have to wrestle, but Big Show, Kevin Nash, Triple-H, and X-Pac could. Do what would've been in 2002 if Nash never got hurt.

Agreed. I don't like the idea of "continual supershows". Defeats the purpose of the brand split and only gets the "top draws" on TV. Ziggler/Orton was good and all, but I can do without seeing Orton on RAW AND Smackdown weekly. Give somone else that spot.

It'd make sense if he was still being called Diesel, like at the RR, but he's Kevin Nash now and Kevin Nash is synonymous with the NWO

For a start he's Kevin Nash and not Diesel so Diesel Blues would surely make less sense, if there is a checksheet for some kind of music coming out of speakers making sense.

...WWE is so all over the place, they haven't even properly presented Kevin Nash to the present-day WWE audience...

...it's like: He looks like Diesel...but he goes by "Kevin Nash"...but they refer to him as "Big Daddy Cool"...but he comes out with the NWO as his theme...but they presented him as Diesel on WWE.COM's "Who is Kevin Nash?"...

...the whole thing got off on the wrong foot...

Plus, they were worried that people wouldn't remember who Kevin Nah is, and I'm sure more people recognize the NWO music then his old theme

He wasn't Deisel when he used it in 2003 or whatever.

And no it doesn't make less sense. It's not like Deisel was some outlandish gimmick character. Whether he is deisel or nash, he walks, talks, and wrestles the same. Only difference is that his top says deisel on it.

Makes more sense than using music for a faction that's been dead for over 5 years.

In 2003 he used a theme SIMILAR to "Diesel Blues"...but it WASN'T "Diesel Blues"...

...it's on YouTube...look it up.

Now that I think of it, in 2003 WWE also didn't know how to present him to the audience...they could've EASILY had him just come out as Kevin Nash, as he was in WCW, but NO...they insist on bringing up the "Diesel" character, even if it's the "look", the music, etc...

Why would you want the original Deisel Blues?

This is the theme I was thinking he would use.

Not only that, but he JUST used it at the Royal Rumble.

I don't care if it's called "Jacknife" on that vid now, or whatevs. It's still Deisel Blues. And it still would have seemed less out of place than nWo music.

Angry 2003 KEVIN NASH (not Diesel) music

CLEARLY this would have made the most sense despite it being awful.

I give this Raw an F- for a theme that didn't "make sense" somehow. CURSE YOU NONSENSICAL MUSIC! CURSE YOU TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL!

I never said anything about the show being bad because of this, you silly billy.

NWO theme isn't that great either, mister.

Seems like the crowd knew exactly who Nash was.

Typically, this is only an issue with the IWC

It's just that it seems WWE is doing things "on the fly"...there doesn't seem to be much planning going on right now...

...It makes me nervous as to how they'll book the Cena/Rock angle...as it stands, if they keep changing things up at the last minute and improvising, we'll see them move the match up to the December PPV or something...

TBF, we don't KNOW things are being booked on the fly. It just seems that way and personally, it makes for much more interesting shows.

I don't how the NWO music was out of place. Kevin Nash is arguably most known for being in the NWO. Someone help me out here.

...I don't think it was OUT OF PLACE as much as just RANDOM.

It's as if Triple H came out with the DX music next Monday, even though DX isn't up and running anymore...

...it'd be like "Ok?"

Yeah, but WWE audience KNOWS HHH ins't in DX anymore, so it's not the same.

Right now, the storyline is that no one knows why Nash in even doing in WWE, so it makes just a LITTLE more sense, wouldn't you say?
