If you’re suspending disbelief and it wasn’t scripted then that would mean he’s been soundly defeated in recent years by midcarders. So his credibility suffers.

No matter how you look at it, there’s a major problem. There’s no reason to buy into him as a threat in the very show they’re presenting anymore other than WWE simply telling you “OMG UNSTOPPABLE BEEEAST!!!!!” and counting on your gullibility.

They’re promoting scripted matches. If the results of his scripted matches don’t effect his character then why should anyone care about his scripted matches? This is a form of the “wins and losses don’t matter” mentality that has made WWE unwatchable.

They either matter or they don’t. You can’t have it both ways.

Yes, they matter, but they dont matter enough that they hurt his credibility. No matter who beats him, when he walks out he still former UFC Heavyweight Champion. Unlike almost any other wrestler who your point i'd agree with 100%, his fake fighting character can lose but he still has that UFC credibility. It happened, and that is part of his WWE Character whether he wins or loses.

If his stock is not effected by wins and losses then wins and losses don’t matter. If wins and losses don’t matter then his matches don’t matter.

It’s fine to use his UFC history as part of his character but you don’t get to ignore the stuff you’ve actually booked and the story you’ve actually told in wrestling WITHIN wrestling.

Is he portraying Mike Tyson in the movie? Better question, if Mike Tyson lost 3 of his last 4 professional boxing matches, hasnt had a professional bout in 16, and is 55 years old, why did AEW still promote him as Iron Mike Tyson?



Answer is because regardless how many losses he had, he still has those credentials, he knocked out all those people.

Is this because of Punk? Do we have to ignore Brock's credentials in order to be able to ignore Punk being so terribly bad he got tickled by a part time photographer/announcer in an actual MMA fight?

Sure, he could come back to WWE and if he is able to go, I would have no problem with him having a match with Reigns.

Lesnar has lost to Cena, Rollins, Taker, Reigns and McIntyre during his run. One of those guys is retired, two of them are working in the midcard and failed at being top babyfaces and aren’t anywhere near the title picture, one was already a star and even bigger now they didn’t need to beat him to get there while the other needed a complete character change to get where he was supposed to be 6 years ago.

Lesnar is an amazing talent that’s been wasted to help create new stars through no fault of his own.
