Haha. I was hoping for the upset but the Fresno QB threw a terrible pass into double coverage at the end. I was pissed about that. I can understand getting picked off by a real great athletic play but that was just a dumb throw.

I was on the field when Bill Snyder gave his farewell. It was pretty crazy, but K-State has one of the top atmospheres at a game I've been to. Only behind Nebraska.

Holy shit I was going nuts for Fresno to win since Miami lost it would of put Penn State in the national championship game. Still got a chance with UCLA! Penn State Big Ten champs and in the BCS! If USC wins out I want it to be PSU vs. ND.

Yeah this is a great weekend for Big 12 football. Texas really didn't play well in the second half, and although it was fun watching A&M try to mount the comeback I'm glad Texas won, just because I want to see the National Championship, and if A&M won there could have been eight Big 12 teams with bowl eligibility with seven bowls, which could leave Mizzou the odd-man-out.

The beginning of this CU and Nebraska game has been good too. I used to like CU, but they were such bitches when they beat us a few weeks ago. When the guy had Brad Smith about two yards out of bounds and still threw him into the field goal net (uncalled by the way) I have hated them. Also, Nebraska, when I was there, was one of the most friendly and exciting football atmospheres, even though it was an awful game. I will give them credit.

Although I would be just as pissed if Iowa State somehow ends up in the Big 12 title game.

Just because that's the way it is doesn't make it right. Just because the media loves Notre Dame doesn't make them a better team and more deserving than other teams. Yeah they almost beat USC, wow. Who did they beat? A down Michigan team? Get out of here.

All the FO guys have to do (or whoever controls the whole no playoff thing) to see that there needs to be a playoff is look at how the D2 playoffs went this year. My school came third in their conference with an 8-2 record, and squeaked in the playoffs (partially due to a 76-14 last game victory). Our star RB was injured the last part of the year and healed up by playoff time. We are now in the Semis this Saturday. First three games were away and two of the games were against the two teams ahead of us in our conference. So, a POSSIBLE National Champion will be a team who limped and finished third in their conference (arguably one of the toughest, especially this year). Yet, we might be the best team in the country by year's end.

No matter how you look at it, the BCS is always going to have problems. If they take the same format (for the most part) and make it into some sort of a playoff, I think it would be the best. Still not perfect, but it never would be.

One thing, there is an awful lot of time inbetween the final week of the season and the bowl games, this could change that.

The other thing, most of the bowl games have lost their significance. I don't know how they could add more value to the games, but when it comes to the EV1.com Houston Bowl with Cincinnati playing UAB or something, who really cares.
