FearTheSpear has done some stupid things
Attempted to set up my adapter for the first time today, then realized that I couldn't find the CAT 5 cable that I had less than a week ago. Gotta go to Radio Shack tomorrow to grab one so I can practice playing with lag on SvR 1.

How soon after the release of the game is this tourney starting? I think I remember it being said that it is for CAW's only, so that means we get a few hours to fuck around beforehand, and then we start our chars? Any rules/regs?

yep true, we can have exhibition matches for those who are ready tho

personally, I want that time just to make and build up my CAW and practice the game so I don't lose the tournaments early

I didn't mean once the thing got started, I just mean for now. Although, you did give me somewhat of an idea. INstead of having multiple forums, just have a few stickied topics... IE. Roster, TOurnaments, Results, Etc. Have them created by a joint account, IE, maybe an account that you, LC, and someone else create that you all have the password to, and you can update. Then just keep the relevant info in the first post. It sounds like a pain in the ass, but it really shouldn't be, and it'd keep shit organized. I could help, as I work third shift at work, so I'm usually on Fri-Tues nights, so I could easily update shit during that time.

Well yeah we'd need a seperate forum for the multiple stickies

i like that joint account idea, but if that doesn't work we can always just ask for a few of us to be mods, cuz then we can edit the posts even if we didn't make them and we wouldn't have to keep loggng out and in.

LC, if Trips agrees on the forum and you "trust" me, ask to make me (and anyone else willing) to be a mod... I can help keep the stickies with info updated... I'm on tpww a lot

That's what I was going to say. After the game comes out, have a seperate board, and have LC just edit his first post with main info and the link to the board, have the main SvR thread unstickied, and just leave this one stickied.

This really doesn't need its own forum. Why cant you guys just make new threads for promos and tourneys and shit of that nature? It VG related so I don't see a prob. If it becomes a problem (VG forum gets to cluttered or something) then take it from there. If it ain't broke don't fix it. At least try the VG forum first before every one decides It wont work in here. Whatever I suppose.

It more or less has to do with organization. Doing it in the VG forum, as it is now, is going to be a mess with keeping topics bumped, keeping things updated, etc. Furthermore, I don't think Trips, or whoever normally mods this forum, is really going to want a bunch of topics about this one thing. You figure to run it smoothly, you'll need at least, I would say, 3 threads minimum. It really depends on how much effort people want to put into it though.

i'm fine with that but i still think a sub forum in the video games section would be 100x better, cuz it would be all to ourselves, no we're gonna have to label our threads with whatever our league is gonna be called

I realised i had to subscribe AGAIN so that i could use a PS2 Online.

At the moment im paying bills and shit and the NTL bill isn't in my name so i cant do it at the moment. It wouldn't be right.

Plus we cant fight people in the US - which sucks..

I just thought id let you know before you start organising shit!

I think i could probably join later down the line or something, or if not i suppose there's always next year on the PS3.

Well i think its five pound a month extra on top of the 24.99 i pay for the broadband from Ntl. That fees to play online via a PS2 ive been looking into it.

At the moment im not paying it so it would be unfair to bump it up to 29.99. Specially when Skys costing me like 40.00 a month!

So ive heard, its only 5.00 a month but on top of my other broadband bill plus the direct debit fee id get from the bank, and the 40.00 i pay for sky. Its just a little too much to justify right now.

Its just one of those things, personally im not sure if this game is ready for playing online. Plus if you cant play UK vs US then whats the point? Most members on this board are from the US.

Some point down the line i'll play you lot online. It could be when the PS3's released (maybe they'll fix the Hz issue) or it could be in the next few months.

Im sure.. i was reading up on some tech/geek forum about it and they seemed to know there shit. Was a lad who worked for NTL posting on the forum and he was sure they charged for it.

NTL will be putting download caps on there broadband very soon if they haven't already. I suppose this is a way to get some money back..

I might try and do it though just to see..
