Saw some mag scans. Didn't save the link and the person I saw them from on IGN deleted them

But apparently it was confirmed that Stephanie McMahon is somehow involved in the game, which is odd. Also apparently WWE requested THQ to not include a certain wrestler in the game because he was about to be fired...can only assume that man is Sabu

Oh yeah and it said this in the corner:
"Things we played:
1. Singles match
2. Extreme rules match with ten different wrestlers"

I dunno, I think he was just saying that he used 10 wrestlers in the build, not that they were all in one match

Why not? It wouldn't surprise me if we could have actual Survivor Series matches now due to next-gen technology.

Due to rumores, Mike Regan of GamingRing.com asked THQ to clear up two more questions.

Q: With the recent release of Madden 2008 and its framerate problems that plaqued the PS3 version of the game will the ps3 version of Smackdown vs Raw 2008 suffer from that same issue?

A: The PS3 version of SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 runs very smoothly. We are not anticipating any problems.

Q:There has been some rumors going around that this years game will feature 10 wrestlers on the screen at the same time. Can you please clarify if thats true or not? Thank you.

A:These rumors are not true.

so that kinds sucks, no 10 man Extreme Rules or Survivor Series match.

I'm sure they'd just as soon cut that whole story out along with the character. If they have more stories than last year, and Benoit features in one or two, then it won't be a great loss to the game in terms of the season.

I was going to look for the promo of Lawler at the ECW arena talking about the arena being filled with shit and then ask if it was going to be in the ECW arena but I'm too fucking lazy right now.

Had sort of a revelation about RVD and Sabu...the more I think about it, the more I think they'll be in the game. Even if they are removed from the active roster, I bet they would still be included as legends, if only to beef up ECW's "major impact".

Plus RVD's probably recorded VO for ECW in season.

Apparently in some mag Keith Kirby, THQ's Vice President of Product Development, confirmed that there will be 70 characters in the game.

Technically: announcers, refs, and non-playables all count as "characters", but I'm assuming he meant 70 playable characters.

My roster prediction from earlier might be true, except they found someone to replace Benoit (which I seriously doubt could possibly delay the game that much). If I had to take a stab I'd say they threw Santino Marella in...which would be good news as I want his theme

I dont think Benoit will be in. They managed to not mention Benoit during the Top 10 Summerslam moments, when Orton won the world title off him, so I really dont think he'll be in.

I have no doubts Benoit will be deleted. The only question I had was whether or not they'd put someone in his stead, and it sounds like they did...I just hope it doesn't result in delay

Somebody's posted vids of entrances from a demo of the game. It confirms Chavo Guerrero, Batista, and King Booker for the game, bringing the official count to 20.

Book comes out with his king garb and fortunately no Sharmell

Chavo is the CW champ, which makes sense

For some reason though...Rey and Batista are the tag champs. Granted, it may just be for the demo so that people can defend the titles...but I think Deuce and Domino's chances just got slimmer

IGN is in an uproar now because they are assuming DND and Londrick aren't in. DND probably aren't but I think Londrick will be. They probably aren't the default champs because they are likely on Raw in game.

The funny thing is, if DND are indeed not in, Smackdown will have no tag teams.

Raw will probably have Cade/Murdoch, Londrick, possibly Cryme Tyme and the WGTT

ECW will have combinations of Originals and New Breed

Smackdown won't have jack. So the titles are essentially useless. Can't argue though, that's as real as it gets.
