I really don't think so.. Y'all drafted a QB early last year and McNabb caught a heap of shit this year and was hurt for like the fourth season straight.. He came out and looked great late this season, but I think all that did was make him more valuble in a trade..

There is no way you trade McNabb if he looks the way he looked yesterday. You keep him, and you go to the playoffs next year.

That was a fantastic post, but obviously alot of it is tongue and cheek. I've given praise to the Pats quite abit over the past few years, but it always seems to be forgoten. Whatever though. Colts are still the champs. Its that simple. Beat them in the playoffs if they meet. They havent been eliminated. Until they are, they're still the champs. 13-2 champs. All i'm saying is, if you choke, you're a joke. The Patriots are the best team in the league this year. Hands down. I cant really argue. You beat the Colts in the regular season. And you earned homefield advantage by winning all your games. Its a fantastic accomplishment. But it means nothing at all to anyone but the Patriots if they lose in the playoffs to the Colts. It means everything for the Colts. Could you imagine the " underdog " defending superbowl champions beating the great Tom Brady and the undefeated Patriots in the AFC Championship game...IN FOXBORO? I mean, if ESPN and everyone else has already crowned them the BEST TEAM EVER ( little early maybe ESPN? ), what would that say about the Colts? Seattle lost in the ALCS after beating in Indians in the ALDS...

but, it doesn't matter to me... heck, go 10-6 (sorry Browns fans) but be undefeated in the playoffs.

The hype/pressure is all on the Pats where normally it would be on the Colts, which could help the Colts but honestly I don't think any of that stuff matters to either one of these teams.

Not hating on McNabb, but you don't draft a QB if you're planning on keeping your high dollar QB for very long.. McNabb is good, but he is injury prone and has had his chances in Philly.. I think it'll work out better for him and the Eagles if he leaves..

On a similar topic, to think that all the Philly fans wanted Ricky Williams and boo'ed McNabb when he was drafted.. How different things would be if we had gotten McNabb and y'all had gotten Ricky..

Really? Cause Green Bay has drafted several QB's since Bret Favre. That's also where Andy Reid comes from. So it's defintly happens. The Eagles aren't that far from the playoffs.

Next year they should get in the playoffs, and I don't doubt this at all.

As for the whole Ricky Williams thing... That was retarded.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that the New England Patriots have a good change of possibly winning the Super Bowl this year.

And also was like the most washed up player over the past 4 years, and way more washed up then Dovann F. McNabb was. Then he had like one of his best years ever. Same thing can happen to McNabb.

He just came off a major ACL or MCL sugery. You have to give him time. You aren't getting anyone better then him if you trade him. Also Philadelphia has a terrible history of trading superstars. It pretty much never works out.

And anyway Andy Reid is completly loyal to him, and says he is coming back.

Yes that is true, but Andy Reid has no history of this at all. Nick Saban had a history of stuff like that.

Unless there is some sort of TO like blow up .He's coming back next year. He gives the Eagles the best chance to win next year.

I'm having a hard time thinking of a consistent 'win, loss, win, loss' team this year. Most teams this year were either win, win, win, win, win, or, lose, lose, lose, lose, lose. Many of the teams that are close to 500 had spurts of winning games in a row to make up ground for losing four games in a row earlier in the season.

I've noticed how odd the overall records of teams has been ever since they divided up the league into these new divisions. I think there need to be some changes. The NFC South, for instance: Tampa Bay, Carolina, New Orleans, and Atlanta, what is that? None of those teams have any history to them at all. The AFC South is filled with expansion teams and teams that were moved from their original cities. The AFC North has two teams from the same state, and the NFC West has a weird feel to it as well.

I don't know, four teams just doesn't seem like enough teams for a division, especially the way it's divided up right now. With the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a 6-10 in the playoffs in a couple of years.
