I just got this, and for my first match, I played as Dupree/Conway and defended the WTT against Spike and Jindrak.

I could focus onto every other player, ASIDE from the illegal opponent. I'd try to hit a finisher and knock the illegal opponent off of the ring apron, but the arrow would never face him. I had to RUN at him, do a knee lift that was meant for the legal opponent by pushing right and X, and then try to make the cover. Is it impossible to target the inactive opponent?

The only reason I won that match is because when the referee was counting, Spike Dudley's elbows were missing completely. He was in the ring trying to attack me like hell though.

Okay, so is it just me or are Tables matches finally challenging? It seems to take a few times to put someone through a table.

Tables matches were always too ridiculously easy. You could beat them in under 10 seconds.

The easiest way to get this shit done is with a gameshark. Some of this shit is ridiculous. The comp never EVER steals a taunt.

Yeah, thats the sort of stuff I mean, if it was straight forward matches, it would be fine, would ge them eventually, but this sort of crap is what is annoying, anyway round it other than gameshark? any tips or easy ways of getting it done that anyone knows?

I wanted to get the reverse the possum thing over and done with so I went to the options to take off the time limit on matches, go have the match me being hassan and the comp hogan. After 19 minutes the comp finally does a possum pin and I kick out. Does the you finish a challenge screen come up? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Apparently you can't touch any of the options to do the challenges.

I have like a few hundred thousand fan lead but everyshow I got seem to lose fans. My PPVs though bring in like 700,000 fans so it kinda evens out.

Hold the R1 button. Thats what I do and it selects the target closest to me or in the options select the option to take off the auto targeting so you can press R1 and it rotates threw the different wrestlers.

I think you need to play on SmackDown!. I'm using Angle and I'm currently in the ECW storyline. It's right after the Rumble.

My SD roster in GM Mode is awesome

Carlito, Charlie Haas, Chavo Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Christian, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Eugene, Heidenreich, The Hurricane, Kurt Angle, Muhammad Hassan, Rob Van Dam, Robert Conway, Shawn Michaels, Shelton Benjamin, Steven Richards, Tajiri, and Triple H

The major gripe I have with this game is not being able to edit season stats anymore.......I've had 3 matches against him and I'm already sick of HHH basically being a God......if I could edit season stats I'd lower him to a high-80....90 at the most, 95 is ridiculous

Just out of curiosity, what model PS2 do you guys use? I've heard people complain about some kind of grinding noise, but I haven't heard it.

I got my PS2 last July (it was a network adapter bundle with some ATV game), and it hasn't given me any problems at all, knock on wood. Just curious as to what you guys use.

Well I have Original Model of the PS2, and it makes the grinding noise when I try to play Playstation(1) games, and when I open the disk tray it grinds.

Oh, and what is that a pic of in your avatar?

It looks like a cartoon woman.

lol, it's Ember McLain (a pretty awesome villain) from that show Danny Phanton on Nickelodeon. I may be 19, but dammit, that's a good show. One of the best Nicktoons in years.

I have the original PS2 and I haven't had one problem. I guess im lucky. It doesn't make any grinding noises or anything.

Just got back from online after about two hours. Anyone see me? I'm xero126...

The last match I had was Benoit (me) vs. Eddie. 15 minute classic.

Is online ALWAYS a bit laggy? My button response is off by about a half a second. After a few matches I got used to it, but...

I'm going to buy a new ethernet cable tomorrow. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a router for now and all I have to do is hard-reset my modem when I want to play.

If anyone wants to be a cheap ass in challenge mode, simply play it on 2 players and you can do as many challanges as you like without needing to fight at the same time.

Personally I'm doing the challanges the honest way.

For some challenges you have to use the second controller like reversing the possum pin or the inturrupting the taunt cause the cpu never ever does it.

Yeah, but the CPU also doesn't regain it's stamina.

I was having a Buried Alive Match, I was Taker and I was against Orton. I got Orton to the casket, but because he was always running around, he lost his stamina and when I tried to Irish Whip him to the casket, he lost his stamina again and fell to his knees, so I couldn't win, so I just quit the match.

The CPU taunts at me sometimes, to get it to taunt you, just wait outside the ring and It'll taunt you.

My bro sucks too, we were playing a match, I was Hogan 80's and he was Andre The Giant. The match wasn't going anywhere, and the ref just kept getting in our way.

So we just restarted the match, then I won by count out, but my brother said it wasn't fair( )so we restarted it and I won again, so he just said that the match was void, or something like that.

Ah well.

If your PS2 grinds you need to WD-40 the rods the cd deck slides on. One guy in my dorm had white gook all over his somehow and he ended up destroying every game he put in his system.

It is alot of trouble to open up though.

the only thing i don't like about the game is you can't switch camera angles

every wrestler is so small and the game has so much wasted space outside of 1 on 1 matches with the side view. this wasn't as bad when the camera was behind the ring rather than to the side

other than that, amazing game so far
