My first match on SVR 2006 was meant to show my g/f the realism of the character models and such. So I played as Eddie Guerrero against Eugene in Difficult mode. About 19 minutes later, I beat him with the Lasso From El Paso.

The UPS dude never came yesterday, so I rolled up to WalMart last night (evil, evil walmart with their bahgawd rock bottom prices) and bought it, which means I now have my twin bro off my holiday shopping list when I the UPS dude comes... It's because I'm a cheap jew.

I'm doing a season as Kane... Spoilers, highlight to read
I love the idea that Eric was trying to break away from Vince and make his own wrestling promotion with JBL. I think this could work out in real life.
The mainline downside is with the game is how the computer is willing to get DQed, and how easy it is to get counted out.

Now if someone who knows their CAWs could give me a link how to make Curt Henning, that'd be cool.

Has anyone been able to get OUT of the sleeper hold system?


I haven't been put in it myself, but I hear a LOT of people saying that they absolutely can NOT get out of the sleeper hold. Anyone know anything about it?

Just got teh game, this morning. I am probably the first Australian with the game. It is the best Wrestling game ever.

Had a tribute match Eddie(me) v Rey v Benoit v Chavo. Eddie won of course.

Also people talking about not being able to land the frogsplash because the opponent always gets up well i did a frogsplash three times on Chavo.

Anyways this game is the bomb, cant wait to get back from school to play more, might start a season with Eddie Guerrero.

If you do enough damage to the opponent, you can land top rope moves. But it usually takes a lot. Started the Legends Tour story today with Eddie and (SPOILER) having to do Eddie vs. Bulldog was damned sad. Plus, during the in-ring confrontation with HBK, when Eddie says whatever it is he says about "who has the most great moments ahead of them..." God damn, was that depressing.

Anybody else notice that the CPU gets itself disqualified a lot? Happened to me in three consecutive matches today. Ref will be perfectly conscious, but they'll leave the ring, grab a chair, then come in and nail me with it. Weird.

Yea it seems as though the X button doesn't work when tryin to break the sleeper hold submission.

When you make a tag title, can you fit more than a 7-letter word on the name plate? If so, I can't figure out how.

LoL, yeah it makes title matches VERY interesting though. Only heels do it, but it really made some interesting title matches with me. I was Bret Hart and I challenged Kurt Angle for the WWE Title (exhibition, not Season). I had him beat down and he went to grab a chair. He kept coming after me with it and I was blessed to get away from it a few times. I ended up winning the match but knowing that all it took for him to save his title was one chair shot which he nearly hit about 2 or 3 times really added some excitment to the match.

Started my GM mode last night. I had a series of matches so I'm going to be ok. It's weird cause It's like I'm going to just watch all the matches instead of playing or simming them. My main event is Batista vs Jericho Hardcore match.

But my main event for my first PPV is going to be a double main event. Batista vs Edge for the title, and Benoit vs Jericho in a submission match

If you want to finish GM mode quickly, and still win the GM award, just simulate every single event up to Wrestlemania. The only thing you need to keep an eye on is your roster. If you simulate too quickly the opposite show will pick up all of your popular guys.

At Wrestlemania Smackdown will face Raw in 3 tournament matches. Just be sure to play those matches and win for your side and you'll win the GM award.

You store a finisher and fill your meter. Then throw them into the casket so they are sitting up against it and then hit L1.

ATTENTION TO ANYONE WHO CAN'T BREAK THE SLEEPERHOLDS!


Regardless of what the bar says, do NOT tap X. Hit it a SINGLE time when it gets into the blue escape/red reverse field. If done correctly, your character will break the hold.

Why is this a matter of honesty? What is dishonest about finishing the challenges in 2 player? If they didn't want it to happen they would have made it so it wasn't possible. From what I know you can only do the first two sections in 2 player anyways.

You should probably be saying that you're doing them the harder way, because this has nothing to do with honesty.

Did my first GM Mode show today. Wanted to kick it off in a big way, so I booked all 20 superstars and a ridiculous main event. Watched all the matches.

-Heidenreich def. Rob Conway

-Christian def. Rob Van Dam, The Hurricane, and Tajiri in a pinfall/submission battle royal to retain the Cruiserweight Title

-Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin def. Chavo Guerrero and Carlito to retain the Tag Titles

-Muhammad Hassan def. Steven Richards in a Hardcore Match to retain the United States Title

-Eugene def. Edge (via possum pin)

-Kurt Angle def. Triple H, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels, and Chris Jericho in a Hell in a Cell to win the World Heavyweight Championship

Yeah, and a possum reversal. I swear this is just like TV. I was playing as Christian earlier, and Triple H seemed to be pulling out every stop, getting Flair to interfere, pulling out the weapons under the ring, etc...

To do a possum pin, STORE a special. When the computer knocks you down on the ground, hold circle. Then, the computer will either try to grapple or strike you. Just finished my first Raw Season with Edge.


Ending Spoilers: I thought the ending was really badass. After fighting Triple H in a Hell in a Cell match, in which he reversed a HELL of a lot of moves (more than usual for some reason ), I stole the Pedigree, put him through the top, blood dripping everywhere. Edge wins the belt, and it shows him on top of the cell. Trips tries to climb up and Pedigree him through the middle, but he did a back body drop and both of the men fell through the cage. It was hot.

Now onto Smackdown...Time to use Carlito.

They've been beating me ratings-wise lately... But I think that if it were up to TPWW fans, I'd be kicking their asses. Over and over again, MOTW is whatever match Trips is in...

Oh. And... I couldn't ignore the possibility of reuniting EC and getting them as tag champs. Too tempting.
