After getting caught up in non-storyline stuff and other games for a few weeks, finally completed the last heist and am close to wrapping up the game.

SPOILER: show
Chose the "Subtle" approach and had to skip the gun fight part after like 10 tries. I took Packie, who I had maxed out, as one gunman but cheaped out on the other and he always died immediately and I got overrun. At one point I only had like 3 enemies left but switching to Franklin caused Trevor's "warning" on the character switch thing to go off and vice versa, and I eventually died via headshot. Definitely want to replay the heist with a different crew and try the other approaches.

Cannot fathom why anybody wouldn't choose C. Why willingly limit the people you can play as going forward? While Franklin and Michael conspiring to kill Trevor makes some sense, Franklin turning on Michael really just turns his character into an asshole.

Managed to put in a good number of hours in online yesterday, just did races and managed to get up to around $85k and about level 16, still miles off catching other people up though.

Tried joining James Diesel in freeroam but couldn't because he's no a "bad sport". Even though he's in the TPWW crew and on my friendlist.

Yeah that "bad sport" thing is gay. They shouldn't make it so you cant play with people, but maybe limit activities or something. They should also have a way to get back to being a good sport, unless there's already something worked in

Yeah. I was getting griefed endlessly last night. Killed, spawn by the killer, repeat. There is no rules in the game saying he can't do that to me. If I had blown up his car just once, I'd have gotten a warning.

Still can't figure out why we can destroy those cars if it's a bad thing.

Indeed. Let people be psychopaths or don't. Don't say "kill other players, but don't you dare touch their vehicles!"

The closest thing to an argument I can see here is that vehicles cost more than hospital bills, but still. If you're not insuring your vehicles, what the hell are you doing?

The bad sport system is pathetic. I had some arsehole messing up a retrieval mission by drawing the cops in all the time and deliberately making it difficult to complete, yet me blowing up his car with him in it when we re-spawn (after I complete the mission he tried his best to mess up) makes me the bad sport. He put a bounty on me for killing him and his shite car, surely that is the game's form of justice? Why is blowing up a car such a big deal? Not finishing missions I can understand, except when the game inexplicably tells you off for it despite not having skipped out on anything or tells you off for being disconnected by the buggy game.

Exactly. If you don't wanna be launched into a likely session with crazed killers, stick to invite-only or solo. Personally, I love the mayhem of an "all-out" session.

The bounty thing annoys me sometimes when you leave a session and come back with the bounty still in effect because you forget you had one or thought you stayed alive long enough that maybe it was lifted. My own fault I know.

Man races were boring yesterday, not near the awesome that they have been. I've been using the Quick Jobs list lately. I got kicked out of like 6 races yesterday, though I did notice I outranked everyone. I figured that was why.

Without that rule you can just drop out the session and into another one to lose the bounty, which kinda makes the whole concept of a bounty pointless.

Does the timer reset on the bounty if you do a mission? Or does it carry over?

The timer doesn't reset, but seems to only count the time you're in free mode. Switching to a mission seems to not count. And really, that makes sense.

I chased a bounty down but he hid in a garage. So I dropped a shit load of sticky bombs around the entrance and waited around a corner. someone else showed to collect the bounty, so he fell victim to my trap. I could hear the guy yell and swear about it, but it was funny. I don't know if it was his POV that got blown up as well, tho.

I don't know how often I will be on, but now that there's this new place less than a block from where I live offering online gaming for $5/session, I decided to pick up a XBL Gold 3 month card and got it activated there today after jumping through about 15,000 fucking hoops...

I had the sticky bomb planted in a way that it wasn't visable. Even if he took off without me, I could have still got him.

It does suck that sticky bombs vanish if you die. So I could plant one on another players car and get shot and it disappears. I wish it didn't.

Speaking of sticky bombs, they now limit each player to have 5 active at any one time.

I've also been hassled by guys in their cars and got revenge by tossing a sticky onto the middle of a cross road and standing a few feet back, in the middle of the road. They can't help but charge straight for me. When they do, I detonate the sticky, killing them and sending them flying over my head.

Also used them on a car I parked "convincingly" infront of the garage Simeon asks you to drop of the high priority cars at. They see the car in it, get in it to move it out the way and I detonate it. Free car!

Was getting trouble from some guy in a hunter helicoptor today. I got into a stunt plane and flew off but he followed me. For the hell of it I jumped out and started parachuting only for him to come up behind me. I aimed over my shoulder with micro SMG and managed to nail him a few times through the window of his copter, taking him out.
Would have been better if the James Bond theme had kicked in afterwards, it was pretty Bond-esque., with the parachuting, taking down a helicopter with a gun all while in a suit.

Edit: STILL can't see emblems. Even my own. It's still a black/yellow checkered pattern. Sometimes even that wont appear.

I see no emblems at all. When you and I raced in that Down the Drain race a week or two ago and you had an emblem on the back of your jacket, all I saw was that black/yellow checkered pattern I mentioned.

When I try to put an emblem on myself, 99% of the time, nothing appears at all. the other 1% is that checkered pattern.
