actually the art in general is tremendous. that panel of the bear standing on his hindlegs in the boat before he dives back into the ocean is awesome. i can't put my finger on why though, but i love that panel.

Just finished reading War of the Supermen.

SPOILER: show
For a story that at its outset promised to forever change the status quo of Superman comics... the War of the Supermen seemed all about getting it back to normal.

Pretty much all the supporting characters introduced are gone. Main villain is dead. Kryptonians all gone. I would have liked to see this have been longer than four issues. Could have been even more epic. Like if they made the war 12 issues, and made that World of New Krypton one 4 issues.

Don't get me wrong... all in all, I'd say it was a good story. The middle of this whole saga just went on too long with far too little of importance happening.

Nah, you're cool. I love Supes, though. Ultimate superhero in my mind. I'd follow him to Hell (as I would Captain America, but my survival rate is higher with the Kryptonian).

Nah. I've learned long ago that it isn't even worth trying to defect a Superman-hater.

Superman is kind of like pro wrestling. You either get it or you don't. And when you don't, it looks ridiculous.
