Pretty good ppv overall with Orton-Christian and Punk-Rey being the best matches.
R-Truth is going to be crazy tomorrow knowing it was a Jimmy that cost him his match when all Truth wanted was a sip of water. It also ended up being the 2nd main event in a row that some kid in the crowd got involved first being with Miz and now with Truth. |

no need talkin about the crowd, enough has been said. someone asked who keith stone was, he is the ad guy for keystone light. im very excited for money in the bank, as this ppv seemed like a slightly more glamorous raw. i think my early picks for MITB are Del Rio for raw and Rhodes for smackdown. although idk if they will go with Del Rio winning the rumble and MITB the same year.

Didn't you see his foot under the ropes? I am sure he will bring it up for another match at MitB.

I'll never get how people don't enjoy Rey Mysterio matches, especially after a match like tonight

K, so apart from a couple of posts this afternoon, I've just avoided the internet for the last 13 hours so I didn't get any PPV spoilers.
Pretty good show IMO. Crowd seemed into it all the way through, and LOVED the Ryder chants. Evan Bourne getting a win on a PPV was a nice bonus also. Going to bed to get some sleep now, managed to pull tomorrow off work so I can watch Raw in the morning. See you all then. |

I actually thought this was a fantastic PPV. Every match entertained me, no doubt some more than others, but for the most part the entire PPV was great. Christian/Orton, Mysterio/Punk and Ziggler/Kingston were awesome matches. With his rather limited moveset, Jackson was carried to a good match by Barrett, and with no Diva matches, this was a very solid event by the WWE.
The worst part was the Obama speech, of course this is WWE and all, but it seemed retarded having 'the president' there. However, the backstage segment with Santino was hilarious. So far, this is a definite contender for PPV of the year. |

Also, I hate how biased Lawler comes across by being the 'face announcer'. 'It looks like Christians foot got under the rope AFTER the three count' are you fucking kidding me! It's right there on camera! On a fucking replay! And he's all fucking denying it.
Or maybe it's someone telling Lawler to say that, but it still made me wanna slap someone. |

Big Zeke winning the IC title and Punk beating Rey in a epic match were definitely the moments of the night last night. Sure Dolph won the U.S. title, but for some reason (perhaps the lack of a real build storyline wise) made that feel anticlimactic.

-Opener was as expected. Kofi and Dolph always put on nice matches, and it was good to see Dolph go over here.
-Miz/Riley was good. Miz is so great at his role that he can rebound easily from a loss like this, and Riley will benefit a lot. Let's hope Riley can keep the crowd's interest when he branches away from Miz (unlike Bryan). -Del Rio/Show started off with an awesome bump and told a good story. -Barrett/Jackson bored the hell out of me. -Punk/Rey was MOTN, sweet finish. I hope Punk gets the title shot next PPV. -Orton/Christian was a totally different story from last month, which was nice. I was hoping for a Christian victory here so Orton can chase Christian into Summerslam. But oh well, we'll see where this goes. The "foot under the rope" finish though seems like a baby step in the feud when they could have really taken a nice leap. -The Obama shit was horrendous. -Swagger/Bourne was what it was. Good to see them both on PPV, but nothing special here. -Cena/Truth felt fresh, but the match was ok. Nothing too exciting. I just don't think anyone believed that Truth would actually take the belt, but I think they both put on a decent match. I'd like to see Truth stay towards the top of the card and feud with Morrison into the summer. I'm gonna say this was the worst WWE PPV of the year so far. This was worse than Over the Limit IMO, but I really enjoyed the rest of the PPVs this year, so it's not necessarily a "terrible" show. It just doesn't compare to the ones from the winter/early spring. |
