If I recall, I left around the time of early 2002. Last thing I really remember was Shane in the WCW ring and perhaps here and there bits of the invasion.

TNA's product is currently way better then both Smackdown and ECW and other than not have the star power that RAW does, isn't that far behind RAW.

If TNA can keep doing good like they are, they may begin to gain some veiwers.

ECW World Title lost any value it had at all. Nitro wasnt even a good I-C champ in my opinion.

And before that Nitro wasn't even on Raw for months. He was stuck doing Heat jobs and that's 10xs worse than wrestling on ECW.

41 minutes into the Vengeance PPV, World Wrestling Entertainment ring announcer Justin Roberts announced that Chris Benoit would miss his scheduled match with CM Punk for the vacant ECW World title due to "personal reasons." We've heard there was a family emergency that caused Benoit to fly home to Georgia from the Texas tour this weekend and we wish he and his family the best.

im seeing on all these sites that the fans were told at the Toyota Center by the announcer that Beniot wasnt there due to a family illness.....

I was there....we were not told....all we heard from the announcer was "Taking the place of Chris Beniot...." I didnt know why he wasnt there untill I just got home and looked it up...

WWE is completely incapable of writing a good ending to a PPV every month. Hell, they couldn't even make the end of WrestleMania any good. The only solution is to cut the number of PPV's to about 6 a year and that's not gonna happen.

I think the product is fine but the PPVs are just not worth it.

They should have done an announcement at the beginning of the show, then put the match on around 915-930. That at least gives everyone an hour to think of who is taking Benoit's place.

BTW, that "incapable of writing a good ending" thing isn't me saying that the rest of the show was good. I'm just saying a less boring end would have helped immensly.
