That's a high risk angle to attempt using your two main eventers for a PPV just a week or so away.

i agree. i think a solid brawl and then like a swanton through a table or off a ladder through the announce table would have been equally effective. they didn't need to put jeff up on that high of a platform. its owen-stupid.

Looking at where Orton was before the Swanton occured....there was no way he could of hit him with out hitting half his body on the walls of the pit.

Im betting that He hit the swanton on the mat and then orton moved over and set him on him...

but then again Orton could of moved into place while the camera was focused on Hardy up top so then again who knows...

They had lots of Styrofoam under there thats why you heard that weird noise and saw how bouncy it was when the refs got on it. Landing on that is safer than off a ladder onto an announcer's table with solid concrete underneath. Even though he was that high he didn't have to go that far forward to land where he wanted.

as for the rest, hhh vs. snitsky got way too much time but other than that i thought is was over all very good and i'm sure the swanton was much safer than it was originally appeared.

Unreal. Topped last week. Hardy's star is rising higher and higher...

I loved how JR and King handled this. They didn't go overboard, they jsut let it speak for itself. They also came across as sounding concerned about what was about to unfold. They really sold it well.

The line that makes it is "..he's going HIGHER..." very soft and nervously. Almost like he was looking at King just shaking his head biting his nails. So much better than screaming and ranting and raving before the spot.

I love how Jeff's extreme ways are his bread and butter, but also can be played as his tragic flaw. So much so that he risks his life, matches and all else for the thrill of it. Like when he lost the tag titles because he couldn't resist jumping off the cage instead of climbing out.

If he isn't going to win the title at Rumble, which I think might be wiser given his popularity that he doesn't jsut yet, I think he should either be screwed or cost himself the match with something like this. Then have him win the chamber, and finally win the title by being able to resist the temptation. Then hit the big spot AFTER he's champion to mark the crowd out that much more.

One cynical thing though. As amazing as this all is right now, I'm a bit dissapointed with the timing.

It's the worst time to have something this good going on. It should be a Mania title match build. With all Jeff's popularity and the anticipation, theres room for it to really fail where it could have been amazing.
Because if he wins at Rumble, the timing is off by 2 months and really anticlimactic since then he has to go into Wrestlemania as champion, rather than win it there on a grander stage.
And if he loses, it's a kick in the balls to him and all the fans...unless it plays into a bigger plan.

Imagine this exact storyline and execution as a build to Wrestlemania with HHH instead of Orton as the defending champion.
