Tried doing the eliminate 10 guys challenge with Andre..........I swear, if you have more than one person in the ring with you, you're fucked if you go anywhere near the ropes......one guy starts pushing you out and then another joins in halfway through, no point in even trying to fight back

Also, how do I unlock the 3rd set of challenges? (Superstar level) I thought you had to unlock all the legends you could......and I've got all but Jake and DiBoase (and I think you get DiBiase by winning the challenges I haven't got yet)

When you hit the Sweet Chin Music, and you have Very low stamina do you fall over after wards like on royal rumble LMS match (against trips)?

If you do any move and run out of Stamina as a result, you simply keel over and automatically regain a little Stamina for a few seconds.

Unless it's a finisher and completely drains the stamina...in that case you then have the little ingame where you have to try and regain before the 10 count.

Well, I've put it off long enough, so here me giving my two cents on the whole game.

First, get the negatives about this game off my chest.
  1. Holy shit? Has ANYONE played a ladder match where the CPU did anything but getting the ladder, climbing it and trying to get the belt 100% of the time? Absolutely pathetic. This is my biggest criticism about the game.
  2. Limiting the moveset and not allowing that freedom for picking whatever moves you want. Probably makes the characters more realistic by restricting them to three styles, but I prefered that freedom.
  3. Again, there isn't a playlist option. Aside from two songs, I'm really disliking the songtrack once again (on a sidenote, thank fuck that nothing by Zebrahead is on the soundtrack). THQ/Yukes, would it REALLY be that hard to include in the options a playlist option so you can deselect songs that you hate?
  4. Speaking of songs, they got rid of the original BGMs, and I was looking forward to giving the Hogans the Blue Danube.
  5. I'm slightly annoyed by the game that in previous games, when you created a new character, you were given a few creation points that you could upgrade a little before you played a match and it isn't in this game. Although as soon as the infinite creation points are unlocked, this will no longer be a problem.
Now, don't get the impression that, from all the negatives I listed, that I dislike this game, because I don't. I love it. I'm really loving CAE (aside from the forementioned 'water bottle' annoyance), I'm loving this new design for CAW and how intensive it is. Graphic-wise, they're scaring me with the detail. I can't even imagine how realistic some of the wrestlers are going to look when the Smackdown series hits PS3. I've always been a fan of the commentary, and I feel that they've outdone themselves this time. Playing a match, listening to Cole and Tazz have a discussion about a particular wrestler... *puts on a afro wig* That's cool.

There's so many more postives I could add to this, but to be honest, I'm sure that very few people have bothered to read this from start-to-finish, so I'll cut it off here and simply say on a scale of 1 to 10, this gets a 9 from me.

The commentary isn't that good, really.

My biggest problem with the game isn't the ladder matches (because I don't play them alot anyway) but the Elimination Chamber matches. The AI like doesn't understand the concept. Everytime somebody is being pinned or in a submission hold the other computer guy will walk over and keep bumping into the pin/submission. Wicked annoying.

I don't mind the commentary, although it's a little weird sometimes. For example, they have Eddie as a heel in the game, except Cole keeps talking about how much he loves Eddie and how much the fans are really getting behind him, but the fans are booing their heads off at him. I'm sure that's just a problem where they recorded the commentary tracks too early, but still...

Also, it pisses me off that they ALWAYS interrupt themselves for reversals, no matter how minor. They could be a minute and a half into this huge diatribe (that's actually kind of entertaining), but you miss ONE punch, and the thing slams to a halt with a "You're not gonna get him with THAT one!" No shit, JR. You were saying?

But it does feel a lot better than in previous games. Although, once again, given the choice between commentary and a slightly larger roster, I'll take the slightly larger roster any day. I can provide my own commentary.

I was thinking about doing my pros and cons of the game but I didn't do it.

So I'll do them now!

CONS!

1: The Ladder match, or any match you can climb something. The computer climbs it 100% of the time. (Like what The Fugitive said)

2: The Joint PPV's. Whenever I pick to have a match at a joint PPV Arena I always get Tazz and Cole. I would like to hear J.R and Jerry if I'm having a RAW Match.

3: No Original Music.

4: The playlist. It's driving me nuts! Everyday I'm hearing the same thing over and over again! I don't hate rap but I do hate Bumpy Knuckles.

5: Taking a pic for your CAW. You can't do it the good way in this game. so all your CAW's have the same expression. Kinda like this----> So when I go through my CAW's I see this.









But in the last game you got to move there face and pick a cool expression.

6: Stamina. Now I'm all for the stamina being there but I don't think it's fair that your stamina goes down when you taunt. Why would you be out of breath when the only thing you have done is raise your arm?

7: Taunts. Now I like the taunts in the game. I like that there are brand new ones and some original ones, but the thing that annoys me is that they are far to slow. I pick a taunt where I raise my arm Undertaker_Style and the taunt takes a full 6 seconds to do! now by that time, my opponent could have gotten up anf hit me or if he's a heel, taken 2 turnbucles off AND hit me.

8: Rob Conway doesnt have his proper music!

9: Profile. I hate having a profile. Because you have one and you don't want to get a black mark on it by losing soyou have to try harder to win. But because your thinking about you might lose and get a black mark, you can't concentrate on the match, so you lose.

10: Places: The lack of place names suck. Because the only British places you get is England, Blackpool and Manchester. Now I live in Scotland and it annoys me that I can't have Scotland as my hometown. I don't know why they didn't put it in because you might make Roddy Piper and you don't have a place in Scotland to give to him.

11: Voices. Just like Place Names, there is a crappy selection of voices, and there ALL American accents. Just say you want to make a character and he's from Japan. You can't because you don't have a Japanese accent to give to him.

12: Entrance Attire: The lack of entrance attire sucks. The only person who has the entrance attire is Flair. What about Masters, Edge, Hurricane and Dupree?

13: Commentating: It really old. I heard Tazz talk about how he use to like Beniot but because he's on RAW now, he's not as good. And Cole talk about how he would love to have Batista on SmackDown!

PROS!

1: The finisher cameras. I love the way you get to pick what they do. Most of the time I pick the spinning camera.

2: The commentating. I like the way the just blab about anything and some of the jokes are funny too.

3: CAB. Thank God it's cheaper to make a belt this time!

4: CAW. 3D At Last! No more skin tight shirts.

5: Canadian Flag!: Eventually, after about 6 games THQ have finaly put the Canadian Flag into CAW!

6: GM Mode: That is all.

7: Season: It's bigger better and funnier than last year.

8: Hogan: You know it was coming. But I'm happy to see Hogan in the game.

9: Titles: I'm happy you can defend Title whenever the hell you want too. and you get to see the history of it too.

Well that's it.

If I do remember something I'll post the number and talk about it.

So overall I give this game 98%.

I have a few problems with the game, but I have to admit I'm so busy being impressed I rarely think about them.

As far as all of the complaining about the ladder match, well count me in.

Some of the things that stand out the most to me are as follows.

1. The fact that the heel opponents try to get themselves disqualified. It really, really adds some realism to the Title Matches.

2. The Stamina System: I hate playing 2 player games with people who have no idea what they're doing, constantly reversing due to lucky button mashing, running around so you can't hit them, and just being annoying. Now if they run away or button mash they pretty much pass out. Great addition!

3. I don't know if anyone has checked out the "Advanced Options" yet, but you can set the AI to reverse more or less, among other things. So a lot of the problems you have with the AI can be fixed by you. Great idea.

You're going a little easy there. There are plenty of flaws in the game but some of them are easy to overlook.

The only thing that really bothers me is that it's too easy to knock the refs around by mistake and get DQed. That's a pain in the ass if you're not paying attention.

Other than that, it's pretty solid. I haven't even touched CAW or GM mode yet because I've been busy, but I'm sure they're great.

Online is great if you can put up with the lag. I had a pretty good ladder match with someone even though there was a shit load of lag.

Just picked it up, and I have to say a few things:

1. The "Montreal" reference in the Legends tour. Heh.

2. Subtle jabs at Dusty Rhodes always = lmao

3. Eddie going into the casket is creepy as fuck.

4. Some of the voice overs are more animated than they were the last game. This time, Booker T sounds like he actually cares, instead of sounding really bored. Carlito sounded like, well, Carlito.

5. WTF RAN OVER TEDDY LONG?

can somebody tell me who yo uwent to get the undertaker urn scenario because i just keep getting EC fucking W.
and can you tell me how to do the RVD glitch again?
a friend told me about it and we tried it but when i was against the wall he couldn't get on top of the turn-buckle.
Any ideas?

Ok I got the urn as SCSA on SD. It depends on what options you choose through out story.Like who you accuse of hitting Long (RVD or Cena) I'd assume.
If its the RVD glitch I think you mean then you power whip them into the crowd barrier and then you stand on the apron (run at the apron and tap square) and not the turnbuckle and then you do a diving kick. Infact its not RVD it can be anyone you just need to give them the "Diving kick" or something in create a move set

LOl AR Max makes this game veen more fun.

I put in a code that set JBL's gender to female so he can fight of the women's title. I had him beat Trish then alterted his entrance to Joy's, so he walks to the ring completely like Joy wearing his entrance jacket and cowboy hat and the women's title around his waist

I just completed the Raw Storyline with Hassan becoming the World Champion, thoughout the year JR always said he hated Hassan and wished he stop blaming other people, even when Hassan was a good guy, There is no pleasing JR

Once I unlocked Stone Cold I had a match as Austin Vs Eugene, I stole Eugenes Peoples' Elbow, then afterwards I gave him the "Double Bird", looked so funny.

I haven't been able to get the Possum pin to work yet, which is a pain, I know I must be doing it wrong or at the wrong time.

L2(s)/R2(g) + O, I'd try it out tomorrow
