This was the scoreline I had thought would have occured more in Game 1 based on the hype and quality of Lee & Sabathia.

Would have been epic had Pedro won since a lot of analysts didn't think he could last at least the 2nd time through the lineup and the determination by the Yankees to not drop into a 0-2 series hole.

I haven't thought about this yet, and it really depresses me a lot now that I have, but the Orioles swept the Philies back in June, though I guess it could be said that they weren't playing that well back in June.

You know what depresses me? The last National League team who won consecutive WS trophies was the Cincinnati Reds who beat the Yankees in 1976. And I'm worried Philly can do the same.

I dont see how they'll play tonight, even with clocks getting set back an hour. At least as far as I know the NL doesn't have a curfew rule so they could play til 3 or 4 am but I cant see it happening for a World Series game.
Just as I post this, the tarp comes off the field but its still drizzling.

Fun factoid: I saw Jayson Werth play back in 1997 for the Orioles Class A team and still have his card. He was a catcher back then. They traded him to Toronto in 2000.

I really fucking hate that A-Rod is having an awesome postseason. Like even if the Yanks win the title I would have loved for A-Rod to have been crap in the playoffs again so his ring looks like a fraud.

Hamels basically fell apart after Phillies gave him 3 runs. Even Pettite was able to get a hit and an RBI off of him.
