Yeah, It depends on who you are. For the legends tour once I got a triple threat with Taker and Mankind, then the next time I got a triple threat with HBK and Bret, It just depends on who you use.

The "generic" RAW storyline is: Uneasy Allies (starring HHH, Flair, and Shelton); the "Special" tag team storyline with Eugene, Real, Edge, Christian & Torrie; and then "Time To Rumble" where you play the triple threat or the Iron Man match to get your spot in the Royal Rumble. If you play as HHH or Shelton, the first story becomes the WWE Legends Tour. If you play as Eugene, Real, Edge or Christian, the 2nd storyline becomes WWE Legends Tour (since they're in the "Special" storyline).

As for Smackdown, I haven't explored it as much as I have RAW. I'm sure it's the same. For example, since Eddie is in the "Urn Your Spot" storyline, you get the Legends Tour (I think) if you play AS Eddie.

Now, who have people played as to get the ECW storyline?

From what I'm hearing, as long as you selected Rob Van Dam as the main suspect of who ran over Teddy Long the very first week, then you should get the ECW storyline.

I selected Cena and RVD as the suspect and STILL got the ECW storyline.

That ECW Fantasy match was a bitch to complete. First time I tried it I got to the final two and Jericho pinned me with a running roll up

Second time, got to the final two and Benoit made me tap out

Third time, got to the final two, pinned Benoit with a possum pin

I love their reaction after the bell when they get pinned by a possum. They act all shocked and WTF

It was time for the first Joint-Brand PPV since Wrestlemania, Raw had no high level fueds to feed off, and Smackdown was given the Main event slot, Smackdown had good united states and world title matches, I had to go all out if I was going to beat them.

My first match was a 6 man battle royal for the IC title and my second match was a 4 man ladder match for the WWE title, Both titles were held and retained by John Cena, my Main event was Steve Austin Vs The undertaker in a 60 Minute Ironman Match, both title matches got four stars while the Ironman match got a 5 star rating, The next night John Cena had 7/9ths of his fatigue bar filled, so I'm not putting him in any huge matches for a bit.

Beat Smackdown 13 stars to 9.5

In my first season (with Hogan), I picked John Cena as the suspect (RVD thanked me the following week) and I got the ECW storyline. Also, I've done 2 other Smackdown seasons, picking RVD once and John Cena once (as the suspect in the first week). Didn't get the ECW storyline either time.

Now a question: (highlight)
Me and my mate got back to his the other day and his brother was playing the game. In his season mode, Hurricane had a title shot and JR and King were talking about "not the usual title match here" and "Hurricane has the odds stacked against him" before Triple H smacked him with the sledgehammer and pinned him in what King called "the quickest title match ever".

Anyone had this story yet? When does it happen? Who were you?

I've not come across it myself

Okay, can somebody PLEASE explain something to me? WHAT in the world is the difference between the call names Philip and Phillip? Eric and Erik? Jeffery and Jeffrey? Stephen and Steven??? Seriously! What the fuck? They wasted space with duplicate names and left out the obvious choices like Jillian, Melina, and Animal.

I'm serious though, it's not just a rhetorical question. Somebody please tell me the differences between the above pairs of names and I will rep you.

Oh yeah, BTW...

This game gets a 90%, maybe a 91%.

The gripes I have with the game keep it from getting a 100%...and it's annoying because it was certainly possible with this title. Hope I don't have to shell out megabucks for a PS3 to play the next installment.

Since there's so many positives with this game, let's start with the cons:

from a "legal" standpoint, unlocking Jake The Snake with a PSP only? Thumbs down. (Hello, Codebreaker)

I can live with the Divas not bleeding (now), and not being in First Blood matches as a result. But to take them (and their CAW counterparts) out of every match worth a damn? Thumbs down. This better not have been a WWE thing. (Again, hello Codebreaker...)

Auto-save always being on? Crap. At least give the option to shut it off.

It was great to see a lot of moves reanimated, and some new moves (however unexciting they are) in the mix. But some of the omissions seem a little excessive. Since they went to the trouble of using Rumble Roses parts in CAW, they should have jacked some of the moves from there (particularly Evil Rose's finisher, that looks a lot like the Canadian Destroyer). And bring back the REAL F.U. (Samoan Driver), dammit.

I think that they should really implement a tug-of-war system for "out-of-weight-class-range" grapples. Since we've actually seen Rey Rey do grapples to those he (in this game) wouldn't be able to lift, they should do this No Mercy style, and give a Momentum Bonus for success. By no means should a Diva or Cruiserweight lift a Super Heavyweight, but they should be able to lift Light Heavyweights and Heavyweights with a little extra effort. Victoria, for example, probably could suplex HHH in a match. Ditto for London to Cena, or HBK to a Lesnar-type.

The lack of truly "original" themes (that have been in SmackDown since the third installment) in CAW kind of sucks.

Create an Entrance needs a few tweaks. The pyro timing is kind of off, if you try to replicate the entrances of Batista or Kane.

Others have discussed the problems with gimmick matches, but I won't discuss them here.

Otherwise, the rest of this game gets thumbs way, way up, especially with the way they "hid" Rock, Austin, and CAW EXP points. I shouldn't have to Codebreaker things like Divas in certain gimmick matches or Jake The Snake, though.

Without that PB&J, this game would have been an easy 100%.... even more so since this is the only game that's gonna have Hassan in it, ever.

the sweetest thing happend in season mode

I had a CAW with jackhammer as a finisher on smackdown's season mode, teamed up with triple h to face cena and angle in a hell in a cell match

we somehow did the Jackhammer and Pedigree at the same time, I pinned angle, he pinned cena, the ref counted to 3 on triple h, but we both had them pinned, it was awesome [/easily impressed]

Something like that happened to me. I was Hassan and I was with some guy against two other guys, forget who, and I was down playing possum, and my partner hit his finisher and we both did a pin and the ref counted it. Looked cool.

All I did to get the GM award was have the card and events done at random, then at the end I played the Raw vs Smackdown matches for my side and won all 3 matches. That gave me the GM award.

Screw all of that trying stuff.

That's because they had to have used the Rock's premade CAW face. That CAW's crap. Tazz's eyes are closer together in real life and he has thicker eyebrows, and slightly smaller eyes.

In similar news, I made a Jillian Hall CAW from scratch (her wrestling attire from Velocity last month and face mask). I'll put up the formulas if anybody wants.

I did that from December onwards, won the matches at Mania and still didn't get the award

Use two controllers, or before the draft, take out all the main eventers and just leave the jobbers/fillers. select one of them click start then go to the free agents turn on the main eventers and then draft them.

Yeah but how do you turn off all main eventers before you draft?

Um.. When it's at the draft screen look at the bottom there should be something that says Roster somthing push whatever button it says to push then it will give the whole roster of superstars then when you get to all the main events press O to turn them off, then do the same thing in the free agents list when you start the GM Mode.

Was in a match a few days ago (Bret Hart=me, HBK=my mate vs. John Cena and someone I can't remember).

I get Cena in the Sharpshooter but my mate drops an elbow, Cena comes loose and my mate starts pounding on him. HOWEVER. Bret is still in that crouched Sharpshooter position and then 'Give Up' flashes across the screen, even though Cena is now being suplexed or something by my mate. WTF?

Another thing: I can't play the game anymore as my PS2 is fucked. Everyone point and laugh @ me

why are so many people complaining about GM mode and finding ways around it's difficulty? God forbid something in a video game be challenging!

I'm having a lot of fun trying to top smackdown and build up my favourite wrestler and CAWs popularity, while trying to beat smackdown at the same time. It's a lot of fun, really I enjoy it more than the predictable voice over, less flexibile season mode.

GM mode is great, and next year imagine how good it would be, being able to actually watch the promos and perhaps even create storylines instead of just matches. Screw jobs, heel turns, face turns, etc.

I'm doing better on my second go then my first.... On my first go, more than half my roster had a serious injury

I can't get my undercards popularity to go up though. Like my main event scene is fine, but some guys just don't want to budge. Any tips to build them up?

I kinda cheated. I started GM mode up and did the draft regular. Then I made Rock and Austin available, but somehow the other show got them, so I went back and ended up gettin Hart, Andre, and Hollywood Hogan. I used Legends if that counts as cheating, eventhough the other show had legends as well.

And be able to create how many promos there are in matches. Like instead of having 2 promos on each show, you can have like 4 or so? I think that would be good.
