Also, did a little digging and found out that the Broncos/Raiders game was delayed about 10 minutes because some fans (I presume raiders fans) were pointing lasers at the Broncos offense.

Glad to see the Steelers pull it out. Hopefully Green Bay chokes it up. They are a team I wouldn't mind at all seeing play well in the playoffs...but for the time being, the Giants need all the help they can get.

I had two players on IR list, so I had to play Steve Smith who I haven't really played this year . Need him, or Double Trouble to pull in a combined about 28 points. It's do-able, but Carolina makes my nervous... always. I love my Panthers, they just can't put it together this year.

Better teams played a part in the difference, but its mainly that teams now have tape of what McD likes to do. They had nothing before since he's a rookie HC, but after 7 weeks they had more than enough to figure out his incredibly simple offense (Moreno run, pass to Marshall, shitty run play, punt). Denvers O is awesome when they don't use that tired ass formula, but sadly, more often than not they do

Also, we would lose to Oakland the week that pretty much ALL the other Wildcard contenders lost

If the Giants win out and the Cowboys OR Packers lose one game, the Giants hold the tie-breaker over both. That's pretty much the only positive.

I love the Kansas City Chiefs, even though they are suckin bad this year. As far as this year goes, I am a huge Peyton Manning and Brett Favre fan, always have been, so if the Colts or the Vikings win the Super Bowl this year, I will be happy. 2 of the best quarterbacks ever, all heart and class acts all the way.

Does it have to be Cowboys OR Packers? Not both? I'm not sure what the 3-way tie-breaker is but I think head to head gets thrown out. Would be pretty funny if NY needed Dallas to win and stay a game ahead of them in the last week to prevent a 3 way tie and let NY get in over GB via head to head tiebreaker. If that's the case, The Giants sweeping Dallas could actually cost them a playoff spot which would be insane.

Giants hold all possible tie-breakers.

-vs. Cowboys: head-to-head record obviously
-vs. Packers: Giants already are guaranteed the better record in common games
-3 way tie: Division ties get broken first, which again knocks out Dallas and leaves the Giants and Packers...Giants would then get the 5 seed based on better record against common opponents

Yeah but if the Giants and Packers are tied in the standings, they'd automatically be tied in conference record at either 7-5 or 8-4. Forgot to mention that...THEN the Giants get the common games.

Yeah. Still quite an uphill battle though, I definitely think the Cowboys or Packers will lose a game at some point...but Week 17 will almost assuredly mean something for Minnesota. Gotta hope Favre continues to crumble.

A lot of Giants fans actually think making the playoffs would just cost them a higher pick because they all assume they'll get knocked out in the first round. While I understand that, since their defense has shown no signs of improving...2007 has taught me that anything is possible.

Don't understand how guys like Folk can be so bad and miss so many FGs in a season. Like, that's all you get paid to do. You kick a ball. I get the miss every once in a while, or missing a really long one. Can't always be on your game or hit the ball exactly right. But when that's all you do, and all you're supposed to do, how do you fuck that up so much? And how do you fuck up such a SHORT field goal?

They showed clips of Folk in practice and he was missing kicks like crazy. Like come on.. pressure's not even on man. Don't care about Dallas at all really, but he deserved to be let go.

What was bad for him and Dallas wasn't so much he was missing badly during the pregame but how much wobbling the ball was moving in the air when they were inside a dome with no wind. The way the ball was moving was like he was kicking in a stadium like Green Bay or Giants/Jets stadium in middle of winter with snow/wind swirls.
