Yeah, I'm pretty sure it doesn't automatically turn all your CAW's stats to the max, it's you that controls that.

Yeah, but it just doesn't feel the same. I mean you create a character that you want his/her speed to be 6. But you see that you have unlimited points, so you get an evil feeling in your mind and you turn it up all the way and start laughing evily. It's like that.

AGREED'D.

Apparently everyone online feels that they have to have a fucking 99 OVR CAW. Really stupid and boring.

the caws aren't even technically maxed out. you can't get 10 in all stats, why limit yourself even further than the game limits yourself, especially when nobody else is going to and ur going to be disadvantaged

you guys are just complaining for the sake of complaining

I usually avoid playing online, but the few times I've gotten on, I see rows and rows and rows of nothing but 99 OVR CAWs. No point at all to it. Of course no one else is going to limit themselves, but it doesn't make it any less gay that everyone feels they have to "godmod" to have a good time.

Blah, Have a level 99 CAW does not make it unbeatable. It's just sort of sad that's all people use. The highest CAW I have is 92, with my next highest being 89. I prefer to keep my guys realistic. For example, I have a big ass CAW with 10 strenght and durability, and 9 tech I believe. He also has like 4 speed and 5.5 stamina. Also, didn't give him a toe kick

haven't played a match online yet, but when I do i'm going to use my CAW who's "maxed" which isn't really maxed since the game has different weight classes with different stat caps.

If everyone else had CAWs that weren't maxed I would too, but there is no point in putting yourself at a disadvantage on purpose.

Well the better someone is at a game the worse there guy should be. I mean beating anyone by using Triple H or a 99 CAW doesn't say much but if you can beat everyone with Christy or a low CAW or something then your much better than anyone using maxed CAWs.

i just bought SVR2. i had just bought SVR1 about a month before that. so, i'm not very good at either, but i can weigh in with a few of MY pros and cons on the new game. some of the cons may be just that i havnt figured out some of the intricacies of the game.

PROS
- significantly expanded roster (the lack of Orlando Jordan on SVR1 was inexcusable).
- slightly improved graphics - facial features, larger sized wrestlers.
- the 1P wrestler speaks (audibly) in season mode, so there is less reading involved.
- you dont have to buy move sets and arenas. IMO you should not have to "earn" or "unlock" wrestlers or any other features.
- i like how Kane and Masked Kane are simply a costume change-except for the fact that the two are forced to have the same moveset.
- i think that it was very short-sighted on SVR1 to have Kurt Angle as a GM and un-usable in season mode.
- the players get to choose the pre-match strategy, instead of the CPU choosing it.

CONS:
- the CAW mode is the most important feature to me - and it falls way short of expectations:
- inability to change the appearance of the default superstars
- the available options pretty much amounts to NO original theme music for created wrestlers.
- the fact that i have to buy a whole other system in order to "unlock" Jake The Snake Roberts - this really chaps my ass.
- not many original taunts or entrances.
- the lack of any alternate costumes for the default and created wrestlers.
- actually 2 fewer slots for created wrestlers, although this is offset by the vastly improved default roster. *
- the controls actually seem more complicated (to me).
- maybe i just haven't figured it out yet, but i'm hatin' the sleeper hold feature. i cant get out of it, my friends cant get out of it...too many matches are ending via sleeper hold - which never happens in WWE.
- even on NORMAL difficulty, the CPU just seems to reverse way to many grapples - ones that i feel that i really earned.
- the grappling is very choppy - it sometimes seems as though the game momentarilly freezes up before a tie up.
- inability to choose to be a heel or face from the outset in season mode.
- in season mode, the plots still seem to revolve around scoring with a diva, which i dispise.

i just bought this game a few days ago, and haven't played very much - however, i would be playing it a lot more if i were addicted, which i am not, and i hoped that i would be. it didnt make me want to throw out my SVR1 game.

to me, the perfect wrestling game would include:
- a simple striking and grappling system (ala N64 wrestling games).
- an enormous library of theme music from current and past superstars, as well as a legitimate attempt at original theme music.
- free reign to change the appearance and moves of the default superstars; this is the only way to make the game updateable.
- more-more-more slots available for created wrestlers.

You can lower the amount of reversal the computer does in options menu.

Both will never happen with a licensed game. If you had both, you could just completely change the entire game. Making a WWE game of nothing but TNA wrestlers, etc. The only way anyone will ever get that is if they do an unlicenced game like Fire Pro Wrestling, which actually does have that feature.

1. thanks for that tip

2. what i'm "on about" is the apparent lack of original theme music, and the innability to change the appearance of the default roster.

Well like Xero said the innability to change the appearance of defualt wrestlers will never change, but i agree that they need more original theme music.
Its not hard to put some tunes together to create original music.

Yeah but because of Eugene's character, THQ would have to do a special storyline to suit his character.

And THQ couldn't be bothered doing that, plus I don't think they had enough memory to add another storyline JUST for one character.

i see what you're saying, but on all the N64 games, you could change the appearance - not the moves, which equally stank.

Which can be mildly funny if the Undertaker does the Worm or Batista walks like Torrie.

Ever seen the "coward" enterance? Man it's hilarious to use it on Taker or Kane or Stone Cold. It's like they're afraid to do anything.

Yeah
I originally thought that was the Classic Mankind intro. You know, looking over his shoulder and everything like he did when he wore that brown thing that looked like a potatoe sack.

dalegendkilla does not have that much rep yet (10+)
Me and my friend were doing an elimination tag cage match. And I escaped, then he (Randy Orton) hit the rko on his opponent, then they were suddenly outside of the cage, walking around by the announcers tables and walking past me, then he just pressed triangle and got back in, his opponent was lost for a while and couldn't stop him from escaping.

BEST GLITCH EVER!
