Rumors that the Yankees are thinking about a 5 year extension for A-Rod worth 30 million a year. That would bring his contract to 8 years and 231 million if he doesn't opt out.

Does anyone see another team offering more for him? I just find it hard to believe another team would put more than 30 million a year into one player. I obviously could be wrong and some team could surprise me but I just don't see it. The sad thing is I could still see A-Rod and Boras opting out hoping to get more.

The thing to remember with it is that Texas still would pay all that money to the Yankees so the contract would average out about 26 million the Yankees would pay him a year I think.

And I kinda feel like the Yankees would still to their guns about not chasing him if he opts out. And if he rejects a 30 million dollar a year extension I couldn't blame them much.

As much as I'd love to see the Rockies somehow win 4 straight, I sincerely doubt it. (Though I must say, Sox fans proclaiming the Series to be over are retarded...they should know better than anyone that its not over till its over)

But I kinda wanna just get the series over with and move onto the offseason, even though the next 10 days will be nothing but A-Rod and whether or not he'll opt out/

I'm sure you would. never wanted him on the team to begin with. having best players don't mean jack. sure he had a great season this year, but once AGAIN chocked in the playoffs. what good is he? lots of guys got us to the playoffs. he's not worth his contract and he's not worth the Yankees time anymore.

I think Beckett is a dickhead, but that's the kind of guy I want on the Yankees.
