If this keeps up, the Packers may have to abandon the running game.

Here's a season by season breakdown of Mr. Manning's playoff woes Courtesy of wikipedia: 2002 season the Colts were pummeled by the Jets in the Wild Card game, 41–0, with Manning passing for only 137 yards 2003 season: First MVP In the AFC title game Manning was shut down by the New England Patriots top-ranked defense and posted the third lowest passer rating of his career at 35.5. The Patriots defense intercepted Manning four times and sacked him another four, as the Colts lost the game 24–14. 2004 season: Second MVP the Colts' 2004 season ended in Foxborough for a second straight year with a 20–3 loss against New England, when Manning recorded a season-low passer rating of 69.3 2005 season: In the playoffs, the Pittsburgh Steelers visited the RCA Dome for the second AFC divisional playoff game of the 2005 season. In the 4th quarter with only a few minutes left in the game, Manning threw what looked to be the game-ending interception to Troy Polamalu, but the interception was overturned (a call the NFL later admitted was incorrect).[96] The Colts went on to score, and were able to get the ball back down three points near the end of the game. On 4th down, Manning was sacked near his own goal line, and the game seemed to be over as the Steelers were one yard from a touchdown. On the next play, the ball was fumbled by Jerome Bettis and picked up by Colts defender Nick Harper who appeared to have a clear path down the sideline for what might have been the game-winning score. However, Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger managed to dive in front of Harper and tackle him by the leg, saving a touchdown. Then the Colts drove down the field to the Steelers 27 yard line, before Mike Vanderjagt missed a field goal as time ran out... okay, so this one wasn't Peyton's fault. Vanderjagt was an absolute dick 2006 season: Super Bowl championship Instead of him choking away a title, the coaching staff decided to put the game in somebody else's hands: Joeseph Addai had 19 carries for 77 yards, and 10 catches for 66 yardds Dominick Rhodes had 21 carries for 113 yards and a touchdown. Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison and Dallas Clark had 11 catches combined. Does 25/38 for 247 yards with 1TD/1INT sound like an MVP? It sounds like Mr. Dungy took the ball out of Peyton's hands. 2007 season: In the divisional round of the playoffs, Manning and the Colts lost to the Chargers, 28–24. Manning helped the Colts to 4 different leads but could not lead a final touchdown drive for the win. 2008 season: The day following the MVP award, the Colts played their 2007 nemesis, the Chargers, in their wild-card playoff game. Down 14–10 at the half, Manning put the Colts ahead 17–14 in the third quarter as he completed a 72-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Reggie Wayne. But the Chargers tied the game in the fourth quarter as kicker Nate Kaeding nailed a 22-yard field goal. When San Diego won the coin toss, they scored on the first possession, ending the Colts season. Perhaps the second time that I could say he had nothing to do with the loss, San Diego didn't give him a chance to blow the game. 2009 season: Well, you remember the video I posted...you have video proof of how he blew this game 2010 season: The season ended in a one point defeat to the New York Jets in the play-off. Honestly, I don't even remember this game. I remember being right about them losing though. |

The guy is 9-10 in the playoffs. 9-10 in a tougher situation than regular season football against the best of the best. It's not a great record. It's not "OMG HE'S SHITTY AND HE CAN'T WIN IN THE PLAYOFFS" either. The guy HAS won championship games. He HAS won a Super Bowl. He HAS brought his team to title games despite having a below average team around him and having to put up ridiculous numbers in order to win. And yes, he has lost them too. So can he win when it matters? YES. He's proven it. What has Tim Tebow proven? How is it not an improvement to dump a guy who lost his last two games while playing awful in them to help your team back into the playoffs at 8-8, win one playoff game and then get destroyed because he's a quarterback who can't pass the ball to save his life for a guy who has proven to be pretty much a lock over the years to take a team to the playoffs regardless of the talent around him and has proven that he can not only win in the playoffs but more often than not, wins championship games? Like I said, if Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers were on the market for some reason, then yeah maybe they'd be better options. Tim Tebow was the other option though. TIM... TEBOW... lol. I can't stress that enough. TIM... TEBOW... |

Yeah. Funny how it's tough to GET TO AND WIN A SUPER BOWL. Ask Dan Marino. How many Super Bowls does a guy have to get to and win in your opinion before they become a better option for your team than Tim Tebow?

I know more about Krimzon's ridiculous feelings toward Peyton Manning than I do about who he actually likes. I don't even know if he has a rooting interest in football or if he just hates Peyton Manning and thinks Tim Tebow is a viable NFL starting quarterback.

What a game. Never did I expect the Giants to win in a blowout like that. Happy to see the offense come back to life and the defensive line was incredible.

They weren't gonna win with him. Teams didn't even need to take a season to "figure him out" before he started sucking. He choked in the last two games of the regular season, played like shit and did everything he could to give the division away to the Chargers or Raiders before finally having to back in with an 8-8 record and then get raped by the Patriots because he can't pass a fucking football! lol "Keep winning divisions with Tim Tebow"!?!?!?!?!?! Really!?!?!? I'm shocked that the defense was actually pretty good last season considering they were on the field constantly because the QB couldn't complete any passes to sustain drives. |

Dude, they got plenty of rest because that shitty qb added to the best rushing offense in the league last year. I admit that the games were ugly. I still contend that if you give John Fox and co. a full offseason with Tebow at the helm he would have improved.
He's not a good QB by conventional wisdom. Just as People want to look at Michael Vick and assert that 'you have to judge vick differently because of his skill set', you would have to say the same about Tebow. Peyton and his recievers were blessed with a full offseason and OTA's to build chemistry. I contend that if there was a full offseason you would see a more productive Tim Tebow at QB. And don't give me any of that bullshit about Tebow not beating out Sanchez. It's obvious that Rex Ryan wanted no parts of having Tim Tebow on the team. the move to get him was brokered by Woody Johnson and John Elway. John Elway hated winning with Tebow at QB. He was all too happy to get rid of him, and sending him to a circus of a team was the final, special little 'fuck you' from Johnny E. |

The Cowboys play way better on the road than they do in Dallas. The Cowboy's defense is too complex for Dalton. While BJGE got off today, I have ZERO fucking faith in him or the running game to take the pressure off of Dalton as he struggles with the Cowboy's D.
With that said...WE OWN THE NFC EAST! Who Dey Nation will win by 10 points. The Chargers are next out in San Diego....by all accounts the 'Natti should go in there and decimate the chargers. Which means....they'll lose big. |

Yes. That was it. He hated winning with Tebow. And Rex Ryan doesn't wanna put Tebow in and have him win games so he keeps a shitty QB in over him. It's all a conspiracy to keep the white Christian boy down.

no conspiracy. politics, maybe. it was a philosophical difference between a front office official, and a player who was drafted by the 'old regime'.
John Elway wants to do things 'his way'. John Elway wants to win 'his way'. John Elway wanted to get rid of Josh McDaniels and all of his guys. You'll see the same thing in San Diego, Philly, and to a lesser extent, Kansas City. |

NOW THIS IS A CLUSTERFUCK...
Jets hit new low as superfan 'Fireman Ed' quits his beloved team for season 2 hours 52 minutes ago Fireman Ed Anzalone is stepping down as Jets cheerleader. (Getty) EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Bill Belichick once famously quit the New York Jets, without ever coaching a game, by scribbling "I resign as HC of the NYJ" on a piece of paper. The Jets' most attention-seeking fan, "Fireman Ed", aka former New York firefighter Ed Anzalone, used 275 words to do essentially the same thing. In a self-penned column in the Metro, the free newspaper handed out mostly at subway stations, Anzalone announced he will no longer attend games as "Fireman Ed." Anzalone became famous for leading the "J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets" chants at home games while wearing a fireman's helmet. Anzalone cited the coarsening of conditions at Jets games due to fans' anger at the team's struggles this season and the quarterback controversy between starter Mark Sanchez and backup Tim Tebow. Anzalone wears a Sanchez jersey to games and said he left Thursday's blowout loss to the New England Patriots at halftime due to heckling. [Related: Jay Cutler deserves MVP consideration] "This is an indication of how society has lost and is continuing to lose respect for one another," Anzalone wrote. "… The fact that I chose to wear a Mark Sanchez jersey this year and that fans think I am on the payroll – which is an outright lie – have made these confrontations more frequent. Whether it's in the stands, the bathroom or the parking lot, these confrontations are happening on a consistent basis. "Although I can 'hold my own,' I do not want to lose my temper and make a stupid mistake," he continued. Anzalone said he'll still attend games, just not wearing the helmet or to lead cheers on the stadium Jumbotron. He has been a Jets fan since 1975. The team has failed to win a Super Bowl during that time (its only championship came in 1968). The defection of Fireman Ed is the latest in the Jets' bizarre, circus-like season which has included as many soap opera turns as ugly defeats. The fact that a fan would need to write a column explaining his rationale for quitting what is an unpaid, unofficial "job" is comical yet predictable. The Jets are a disappointing 4-7 on the season and the offseason signing of Tebow has made little impact on the field while leaving the team dealing with repeated sideshows and unnecessary dramas – from teammates anonymously ripping him to an apparent fan division so deep that even Fireman Ed is wary of having to fight someone in the stands. "We have had much worse teams than this and I never left before," Anzalone wrote. "I pride myself in that, because I am not a quitter." The Jets have had far worse teams through the years. Yet maybe none has been quite as strange as this season's club. [Related: Colts cheerleaders get heads shaved in support of Chuck Pagano ] At least Belichick, who cited uncertain ownership for quitting in 2000 after just one day on the job, practiced brevity in his announcement. Fireman Ed went on and on. Belichick wound up the head coach of archrival New England, where he's won three Super Bowls and dominated the AFC East. That decision truly hurt the franchise. This one is simply absurd. "I will always love the Jets because they are in my heart, and I will attend games as usual, just not as Fireman Ed," Anzalone wrote. "God bless and, as always, let's go Jets!" It's a circus perhaps only the J-E-T-S could create. Fantasy advice from the Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Minute: |

That seems to be the way everybody is looking at this but as a Niners fan, it's very hard to sing the praises of Alex Smith for too long. You have no idea how refreshing it was yesterday to have my quarterback throw deep down field without me wanting to nervously vomit all over the bar.
Jim Harbaugh got the best he could out of a better than average quarterback. I want to see what he can get out of a great quarterback. I'm ready for the Alex Smith experiment to be over. He did us well and we love him for it but its hard to deep into the playoffs with a guy that cant play football if he's down by more than 7 points |

It's also nearly impossible to get to the Super Bowl with basically a rookie QB.
At least Smith has playoff experience which in a lot of ways is more valuable than talent. Kaepernick does seem pretty good though. |

Yeah. I still think playing Kaepernick right now is a solid idea. If he gets hurt, we have another starting QB that is perfectly capable. Kaep gets his reps in, we have an plan b... Win/win. Also, I have a feeling that Harbaugh is going to redefine the starting QB role anyway and both of them will prolly get game reps.

Well, no. But he's been more than solid, has been confident, and showed his leadership qualities right off the bat. He also just went into the Superdome, didn't get flustered, and beat the Saints. And I didn't mean great QB by NFL standards, I meant that he's got a great rookie skillset to build on.

In a way that actually benefits Kaepernick a lot since the offense isn't as rigid because its taylor-made for just 1 person and the O-line is still pretty flexible enough to be developed around anyone. |
