Super Wrestlemania Fantasy Booking Scenario
Alright guys so as we approach the biggest show of the year in wrestling, I thought we could maybe do a little game of booking your very own 'Showcase' of the 'Showcase of the Immortals'.
The rules are simple - you may: 1) Use matches from any Wrestlemania event you wish 2) You may book up to 10 matches so the show roughly comes in at 4 hours (back in the days when you could watch a WWE PPV in one sitting) 3) You may not have any wrestler pulling double duty. So for example, if you want Hogan vs Savage, then you don't get to use Savage vs Steamboat. 4) You can include Championship matches obviously but only one match where that title was on the line. So for example, you can put forward Hogan vs Savage for the WWF Title but that means you can't use Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels for the WWF Title. *As part of this rule I'm grouping all the tag belts together, all the Women's titles and all the World Titles (WWF/WWE/World Heavyweight/Undisputed/WWE World Heavyweight) so you can't be picking Eddie Guerrero vs Kurt Angle for the WWE title and the HBK/HHH/Benoit Triple Threat for the World Heavyweight Title)* You may even pick a location they have used too. I'll put forward my card later on and we'll see what we come up with. |

The Iron Sheik. Brother Love, Bushwhackers, Jim Cornette, Doink, Duke "The Dumpster" Droese, Earthquake, Gobbledy Gooker, Goon, Michael Hayes, Hillbilly Jim, Kamala, Kim Chee, One Man Gang, Repo Man, Sergeant Slaughter, Tugboat and Nikolai Volkoff Gimmick Battle Royal WM X-7 5. HHH vs Undertaker III End of an Era HIAC WM 28 10. Bad News Barrett (c), Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Stardust, Luke Harper and R-Truth IC Title Laddermatch WM 31 Few things: matches are listed in chronologic order, I could spend another 30 min trying to order them..but im not IC Title match is hard if you dont do Savage Steamboat. Wanted to do Angle/Benoit/Jericho from 2000 but needed Jericho vs Punk Included the gimmick battle royal as a lark Went triangle ladder match over TLC 2 just to be different 2 ladder matches, 2 retirement matches and HIAC! oh my Cena was hardest to figure out, left out a few biggest was probably Orton total wrestling time for matches was about 180 minutes which is probably more than would fit in 5 hour show but anyway Last edited by Droford; 03-28-2019 at 05:46 PM. |

Thought hard on Razor vs Shawn IC ladder match at WM10 for the IC but wanted Shawn for Ric and already had the TLC. Also thought about the WM24 Money in the Bank match but again the TLC match had the ladder match covered.

Awesome concept. Mine in no particular order other than main event.
1. Tag title Triple Threat ladder match - Edge and Christian vs Hardys vs Dudleys (c) Mania 2000. 2. Womens Championship - Becky vs Charlotte vs Ronda (c) Mania 35. 3. Stone Cold vs Rock Mania 19. 4. Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels Mania 21. 5. Savage vs Ric Flair Mania 8. 6. Cena vs HHH Mania 22. 7. Triple Threat Bryan vs Batista vs Orton Mania 30. 8. CM Punk vs Undertaker Mania 29. 9. IC Title Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper (c) Mania 8. 10. WWE Championship Main Event Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar (c) Mania 31 with Seth Rollins cash in. Not the 10 greatest matches, but I wanted to get as much star power as I could while also picking quality matches. The big one I debated was Hogan vs Andre, both for their star power and the historical value, but it just was not a great match and Andre was pretty hurt and limited. I also considered Hogan and Warrior, for much of the same reasons as I considered Hogan and Andre. The match was far better than anybody who has never seen it would expect. Problem with that was I didn't want to tie up 2 titles in one match. Lastly, I considered Eddie vs Rey Mysterio, but both have had better Mania matches against people I already used, plus I already picked a match from Mania 21, which I just didn't want any Mania to have multiple matches from, even though I did for Mania 8. Was the best way to get Piper, Bret, and Flair in. My location would be Jerryworld in Texas (AT&T Stadium) because with my card, they really would break 100,000+ attendance! |

You've got a few WWE Championship matches on that card. Rule 4 is a tricky one grouping World titles together.

For example my Savage vs Flair isn't for the title, just a singles match. |

WWF Championship
Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant I Quit Match Special Guest Referee: Ken Shamrock Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels The Rock vs. John Cena (from WrestleMania 28) Street Fight Triple H vs. The Undertaker Triple Threat Match for the Women's Championship Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch (going out on a major limb here) TLC Match for the WWF Tag Team Championship Edge & Christian vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz WWF Intercontinental Championship Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat Hair vs. Hair Bobby Lashley vs. Umaga Randy Orton vs. CM Punk ---------------------------------------------------------------- I'm sure I've done a card like this before and it turned out completely different. I thought about Piper vs. Adonis and Big Show vs. Mayweather in, just for the bigger commercial appeal , but I decided I didn't want two Hair Matches nor did I want Big Show and Andre on the same card. Hogan vs. Andre may not be a technical classic, but as a lasting image and a story, in this hypothetical universe, it had to make it. Orton vs. Punk is one I don't feel particularly strong about being on there, but hey, as an opener on this supershow, it would be a pretty big deal. My goal was to create a show with classics, but one that also built in terms of significance. Punk vs. Orton is a solid opener with the babyface going over. You then move into the owner of the promotion and a former President of the United States battling over each other's hair. Savage and Steamboat would have a technical classic. You've then got a car wreck to break things up. The Triple Threat hasn't happened yet, but Ronda Rousey being on a show is a pretty big deal, and I'm thinking they produce the hell out of this, which hopefully means quality. Ronda hasn't let me down yet. Triple H vs. Undertaker is not something I was overly keen to include, but hey, it's a Taker match at Mania. You could choose 28, but I went with X-7 just because I found it more fun. Then we're onto the true main event portion of the show. Rock vs. Cena is not something that I gushed over at the time, but that PPV did tremendously well, and you've got to have Rock somewhere and Hogan and Austin are tied up. In this hypothetical universe, maybe Cena's Hollywood presence intensifies it even more. Michaels vs. Angle is one of my favorite Mania matches ever. Austin vs. Bret is arguably the best match in WrestleMania history. Then you end with the iconic body slam, and all things considered, this would launch my inter-dimensional promotion to unbridled success through space and time. |

That card was only 9 matches so I can add another.
Savage vs. Steamboat or the Women’s Triple Threat from 32. |

Maybe I’d drop Taker vs. Lesnar or Taker vs. Punk in there in place of vs. HHH.
