While it is true that the GPU details, etc. aren't yet available, having a considerable power advantage allows for them to have more flexibility with the rest of the hardware without having to compromise too much.
With DX12 around the corner and also being pushed, graphic whores (and/or PS4 fanboys) will be eating crow. Personally, I don't get miffed about 1080 native vs upscaled or anything else. I am a bit miffed at the new system being done so soon and more or less following a typical "mobile phone" upgrade schedule. Had this been known at the start of this gen, I would have just spent the $$$ on a PC and still been ahead of the curve. |

Kotaku don't screw around with tech talk so you can trust them here.
All this talk of power, however, is moot to me unless devs fucking do something about it. If Halo 5 can't rerelease with splitscreen for instance; whatever. |

Still no other source besides the kotaku article.
The fact that hello games hasn't squashed it yet, could mean it's true though. |

For you Payday fans out there, Starbreeze bought the rights from 505 Games and is making Payday 3.
And for the Fable fans, it was revealed some of the devs at Lionhead had a secret mission going. Turns out they were developing a card game called Fable Fortune that can to toe-to-toe with Blizzard's Hearthstone. Now that Lionhead is closed, the team is bringing the game to kickstarter. With hopes of a 2017 release. http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/05/...ckstarter?read |

Today's News:
1) According to reports, rumors of Ubisoft releasing an Assassin's Creed Collection ended up being not for a game set but instead as a subscription based collectable figurine set. https://www.destructoid.com/the-assa...e-365230.phtml 2) Digital retailer GOG announced the newest update to their service allows the ability to link Steam and GOG accounts together which will allow Steam games to be playable on their service. https://www.destructoid.com/you-can-...m-365225.phtml 3) Apparently a recent Steam key giveaway by Operation Caucaus' developer Dream Games ended up generating huge backlash after the company decided to randomly bash gay people and America in general during the contest. https://www.destructoid.com/steam-ke...a-365044.phtml https://twitter.com/JimSterling/stat...73849295659008 4) Injustice 2 is currently rumored to be in development according to a report from French gaming website Gameblog. https://www.destructoid.com/which-dc...--365033.phtml http://www.gameblog.fr/news/59264-in...es-nos-sources 5) SALES - Capcom is currently holding a sale on the eShoop from now till June 6th. https://www.destructoid.com/capcom-h...s-364982.phtml 6) EA revealed another reason they were originally against Battlefield 1's World War I setting was due to them feeling younger players didn't know about the war's history which would make the game less fun to play. Also hinted at a new Battlefield game taking place during World War II or Vietnam War would likely get declined for the same reasons. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/bat.../1100-6440385/ |

Dumb reason not to make a game really. If they make it, the locales, etc. historically accurate, it can teach quite a bit.
I learned many new words growing up playing RPG's. That was before voice acting though.... so probably not the same effect. |

My PC is already more powerful than the Scorpio.
I'm down for Neo since in getting PSVR anyway, but Scorpio seems pointless now since all exclusives are coking to PC anyway. Going to finish up Sunset Overdrive then sell the console most likely. |

Ubisoft's The Division is getting the movie treatment. Already grabbed Jake Gyllenhall for a role.
I hope it's a lot better than the game. |

It hasn't been bad with the last few additions either. To be fair, I don't get a chance to play it daily for hours, never had time to raid, but I still have fun with Prison of Elders and stuff like that. Their PvP is fun too, need to do more of that.

One of the most wonderful 8-bit platformers, Wonderboy: The Dragons Trap is getting a remake. Sega has once again hired a talented fanboy like they did for the Sonic games to update them but keep them feeling the same, but man, they've gone several steps further on this one.
Here's what the original mouse character looked like on the Master System: Now look at this glorious hand-drawn art: Hnnnnggg, can't wait. |
