It’s an aspect I never really considered until recently, when Cornette did a piece on it. Focus should be on the action in the ring, and not on idiots folding their arms showing you how not over it is.

Fans thinking theyre smarter than the product isnt their fault. Thats just wrestling fans. They think theyre smart and they want you to know about it.

don't know how anyone can enjoy a show watching with this lens. I mean... if someone stinks I won't "chant" or make noise. But if something is good I'll get on my feet and clap. Fuck getting myself over.

KO should be set up for a face run after coming back from the dead last night. Probably not, but he deserves a nice face run where he doesn't die.

The thing is they dont enjoy it. The come on TPWW and let us know just how much they dont enjoy it. What they enjoy is being in the smart kids club and they like that wayyyyy more than they like ANY wrestling.

The fans are obnoxious and they can choose not to be obnoxious... But WWE definitely helped cultivate that mindset. They don't get off without any blame. The internet helped create a certain type of wrestling fan and WWE, as opposed to trying to put forth a product that gets those more passionate fans involved in the story being told in the ring, just welcomes it and even highlights it a lot of the time.
People who pay to come see your show should be able to respond however they want. If they're responding by making their own entertainment and basically ignoring what you're giving them, there's a problem. And it's on you to fix it. |

Cant be fixed. They could give them the product they want and they would spit it out. Its like trying to feed a 3 year old. The audience does not want to enjoy the product and would actively refuse anything theyre served.

If it's gotten to the point where the product is unfixable, it's still the fault of the company putting out the product. WWE doesn't get a special pass. In any form of entertainment it's up to the company to get people invested in what they're showing and if they can't it's not the fault of the people.

And even if you believe that WWE fans just live to hate the product and will do so no matter what, why is that mindset specific to WWE fans? That theory just lends more credence to the idea that WWE has fostered the mindset.
Is it more likely that sometime in the early 2000's millions and millions of wrestling fans just randomly became angry, bitter and impossible to please all at the same time or that the company changed and stopped giving them something they could enjoy and turned them into what we see now? |

It's like if you shot your best friend's mother and then kept trying to be friends with him and whenever he's like "No. Fuck off. I hate you." you're just like "Damn. You're clearly just determined to hate me no matter what. Your fault. Not mine."

It wasn't that bad...
Which WCW show is he referring to? |

Maybe the Starrcade where Hogan pinned Sting but then they pretended he didn't.
I agree - it wasn't that bad. It was more just 'eh' and bland...I've definitely seen worse. |

Probably none specifically and more like mid to late era WCW where nothing on PPV really mattered and were mainly just fillers or throwaways for Nitro. WWE already has this problem going on for years.
Only notable stuff from last night was a joke team winning the RAW tag titles and Owens winning a cage by getting tossed out even though the main reason for the match was for Owens to not be able to escape from Braun. |

I blame the company more for driving away casual fans that outnumber the hardcores left. By making themselves a niche product, they've put themselves in the safekeeping of those fans.

I question why these people go to these shows myself. If they didn't go, there wouldn't be enough fans to fill the hard camera side. They give Vince McMahon their money and then whinge. I'm all for whinging, just stop voting for this shitty product.

(Whispering): QUIET! You want Vince to come across that post and decide he should put Roman in every PPV main event from now on?!
Anyway, they'd already done AJ/Rusev earlier because he's forgotten that the championship bearing your company's name should probably be more important than a "World Heavyweight" or "Universal" title, and Brock wasn't defending his belt on the show, so RAW's 2nd most important championship got to main. I won't spoil anything if you haven't seen the show and want to by some chance but it was an excellent match to end on. It was the first time since Backlash (2001) that the Intercontinental Championship sin evented a PPV, with the only other time previous to that was SummerSlam (1992). |
