Dubbed over music on the WWE Network.
If you have the Network, you know how annoying it is. What's the one theme that has bothered you the most?
New Jack "Natural Born Killaz" has to be at the top, but the one that bothers me that most is...... Don't Go Messin with a Country Boy. Ugh. How do they not own the rights to this song? |

Sandman’s entrance without “Enter Sandman”. Just doesn’t work at all.

The dub over of The Offspring’s “Come Out and Play” for Raven’s ECW entrance is horrendous.

Pretty much everything from ECW. When the choice of that is shitty music or no show I say shitty music. There's no way WWE could pay for the rights to the songs and charge 10 a month.
I don't get when they edit themes that they produced though. So any time I don't hear Demolition theme I shake my head unless its WrestleMania VII and they had already gotten rid of the cool theme when Ax retired. |

I never watched ECW, and never really planned to on the Network.... so mainly WCW stuff that I hated....
DDP's theme is the first that comes to mind. Hollywood Hogan Chris Jericho |

I actually love the Sid theme they use in WCW. Also ECW on WWE network is not enjoyable for me.

That being said, it does hurt the rewatch ability of ECW because music was part of what made ECW cool, that when WWF and WCW were doing generic themes, that ECW had songs by Metallica, Offspring, Wu Tang, Pantera, Alice in Chains, etc., that was such plus. |

I'm in a huge kick right now for the WWF 2000's. Them not having the rights to American Bad Ass literally kills the flow of every RAW and SD during that time. I just want to skip ahead so Taker can come out to Rollin.

Yeah that is a weird one. Kid Rock supposedly loves WWE, he is in their HOF, you would think he would let them use the song for nothing.

The PPV airing of this from WrestleWar 1989 was removed from the Turner Home Entertainment VHS tape, and WWE edited out the music video parts featuring the band members in the WWE Network version of the telecast of NWA-World Championship Wrestling that was on May 6, 1989. And, to me, with this kind of song playing, that was a stupid thing for WWE to do. =P Last edited by RaginRonic; 12-30-2022 at 09:30 PM. Reason: Replacement of YouTube link. |

Gob isn't a fan of EUROPE.
I am. A true fan of a song also has to be a fan of the group who did it. Which basically means I'd have more creative license to use that song in something than him. XD And for the record, EUROPE has looked like what you see below over the years, with the 7 pics below. 1982-1984 L-R Tony Reno(original drummer), Joey Tempest(vocals/original keyboardist), John Norum(original/current guitarist), John Leven(bassist) Within only 1984 L-R Joey Tempest(vocals), Mic Michaeli(2nd keyboardist), Tony Reno(drums), John Norum(guitars), John Leven(bass) Mic added to take keyboards off Joey's hands on March 16, 1984; Tony Reno fired for slacking off too much after June 23, 1984 concert. 1984-1986 L-R Mic Michaeli(keyboards), John Leven(bass), Joey Tempest(vocals), John Norum(guitars), Ian Haugland(2nd drummer) John Norum left on Oct. 31, 1986 due to disagreements with band manager + suspicions he stole the band's money. 1986-1992 L-R John Leven(bass), Ian Haugland(drums), Joey Tempest(vocals), Mic Michaeli(keyboard), Kee Marcello(2nd guitarist) Same members as in the previous pic, but with Kee having hair color change. Dec. 31, 1999 and Apr. 14, 2000 only Ian Haugland(drums), John Leven(bass), John Norum(1st guitar), Kee Marcello(2nd guitar), Mic Michaeli(keyboards), Joey Tempest(vocals) The only time that both guitarists were together with the rest of the group. And, more recently... Same members as 1984-1986 lineup, but have been together since Oct. 2, 2003, with no interruptions. Just figured I'd help catch you up about EUROPE. =B |

This is one of the reasons why I still have a lot of DVDs. Especially the ECW ones. A lot of the later releases were dubbed, but the original official copies of most of their PPVs have the original themes on them. And like what was already said, music was such a big part of the original ECW.

I was never a fan of "Rollin'". It was one of those themes that seemed like it promoted the singer(s)/artists more than the wrestler. DX's 2000 theme "The Kings" by Run-DMC was like that too.

It would be easier to list ones that are likeable. Oddly enough, I don't mind the Shane Douglas' dub. It's one of the few that isn't dog-ass ugly or doesn't fit.

Incidentally, it was my scouring the web to see if I was right about a different, also quite famous song being dubbed, because of my year-long binge of 2002 WWE which accompanied my 1995 year-long binge-a-thon that brought me...here? Of all places? Fuck’s sake, Google sucks. Not that it’s closest competitors, Bing and Yahoo! (yes, somehow the latter still exists like a mythical cockroach that won’t die in a nuclear explosion–yeah, they can’t really survive that shit LOL, Yahoo!, on the other hand...) have anything to brag about themselves, but I digress. Anyway, now to finish this post and air the grievance I forgot to when I first saw this thread nearly 3⅓ years ago. |

From the “Sad and annoying but ultimately understandable” file
is now this ⬇️ dubbed instrumental or instrumental sound-alike trash on WWE Network: Still trash but not nearly as smelly as some. Still this one hurts me right in the old nostalgia feels... 😢💔 |

I read your message @drave and that was definitely not her first theme. She had debuted several months prior and had 2 or 3 generic themes before using t.A.T.u.’s theme, and yes, I’m well aware of their meteoric rise in popularity in ’02. It was due to that song being basically a reworked version of “I’ve Lost My Mind” from 2000.

Speaking of, how 'bout that first version of Jason Jordan's main roster single's theme affectionately known as "Farting MIDI Trumpets" before it eventually got built upon to become "The Next Generation of Great"? That original version would have definitely fit in on that page!
