My collectors edition of Mirror's Edge arrived today and everything appears to be in order.

The statue looks really cool but is incredibly delicate. I'm currently in the process of searching the internet for a display case/box for it, but it's proving difficult due to the dimensions of the statue.

Apart from that, everything's great. I now just need a PS4 to play the thing.

1) According to reports, media publishing company Ziff Davis is currently in talks with Gawker in regards to purchasing gaming website Kotaku and other assets for under $100 million. For some reference, Ziff Davis is the current parent company of IGN while Gakwer recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy due to the on-going Hogan-Gawker legal case.

Kotaku will live on. Ethical gaffs aside the real issue was the main Gawker page. Deadspin similarly is worth keeping.

Being overshadowed is one thing, but Battleborn just...... it feels clunky and not fun. Seemed like it could have been okay in the Beta, but it just missed the mark for me entirely.

I had a bit of time to try Battleborn when it had an open beta.

I tried out a single player mission, had a difficult time getting through it. I was fighting the final boss and hit the time limit (I think it was 65 minutes), ending the mission in failure.

That didn't really give me any desire to try again.

1) During an interview with Gamespot, Square Enix teased they are considering the idea of making a Kingdom Hearts HD set for the PS4.

1) During an interview with Game Informer, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto revealed Monolith Soft, Xenoblade series developer, is currently helping develop Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The launch stream for Mighty No. 9 turned into a post-mortem. Jesus.

Inafune says that 60% of the budget went into the game, the rest on fees and backer rewards.
Their mistake was doing 10 versions of the game at once. They didn't make a version and then port it, they made 10 different versions for all formats.



Actual quote from Inafune: "At the end of the day, even if [Mighty No. 9] is not perfect, it's better than nothing"

One of my friends brought this up and said that the PBS Idea Channel (YouTube Channel) recently spoke out trademark law in one of their videos and basically, long story short, Sky had to sue so they could keep their trademark. Even if they didn't actually give a fuck.
