NXT current roster is the worst they have had till date.

NXT's current roster is worst roster they have ever had since its redemption in 2012. There's not even a single wrestler who you would think would be FOTC one day except for EC3. Ciampa, Gargano, Black, Sullivan, Dream are all on the same level and they are bound to fail once they come to the main roster. Half of the Undisputed Era guys will probably be moved to 205 Live and Ricochet is just another flip monkey. Less said about Keith Lee and Steve Dijak the better. Matt Riddle is annoying as fuck whenever he says BRO and he sucks on the mic and I won't take him seriously until he starts wearing boots. All the other guys have been there for ages and have done nothing good. Pete Dunne is the NXT version of Brock Lesnar who has defeated almost everyone on the roster even the likes of Black, Gargano, Ciampa etc who are ironically the main eventers of the show atm.

British Strong Style is one of the worst things in the wrestling. It is so annoying and boring with all the locks. Fidel Bravo would be more over than most of the roster on the main roster and no one from NXT can even touch the charisma which James Ellsworth had in late 2016 to early 2017.

Your argument works the same for you as well, just because you think it is the worst doesn't mean it is. Everyone is entitled to like what they want to but quit acting like your opinion is the only one that matters.

Here’s the thing. Even if the roster is the worst it’s been to date, it is still doing better than anything Raw produces and arguably better than most Smackdown segments too. The difference is EVERYONE on NXT works their asses off. There are some segments on Raw and Smackdown where people just take off and it shows. I really hope that they don’t call anyone else and really convert NXT into a third brand.

I am not saying they are bad wrestlers but they are not 'superstars'. Even Impact and PWG have a lot of good wrestlers but a lot of them fail when they come to WWE because you can't become a superstar by wrestling in pubs and universities.

I don't know if it's the roster, per se, but I just find it so hard to invest in the cycle of NXT now. I dropped off sometime around that boring Finn Balor reign. Owens and Zayn were the last stage of NXT really keeping me hooked.

I know wrestling is patterned. Something about the way NXT works comes off even more so to me. I know how the guys are going to end up on the main roster. I know how the internet is going to be upset when they aren't treated right. Can anyone give me a reason I should really invest given that I know how this turns out?

But even so, the Gargano/Ciampa stuff has been extremely overrated, in my opinion. Well, what I've seen. I can't remember which match it was I saw. It was either Money in the Bank weekend or SummerSlam weekend, but it had Gargano hit the Emerald Frosion off the speaker onto the floor or whatever. Absolutely no psychology in doing that whatsoever. Generally, I like Gargano -- I think he and Ciampa told great stories with The Revival -- but that match absolutely missed the mark with me. The crowd ate it up, which might be all that matters to some people, but that says a lot about that crowd.

And a lot of the current guys are just hampered, in my eyes, by the perception of entering the company as the next indy darling that gets plucked. Adam Cole has something interesting about him, but he feels like a dude who left ROH for WWE greener pastures to me. It feels like he's filling a positioning more so than crafting one out.

A lot of the personalities seem to fill voids left by former NXT guys. Dakota Kai is Bayley. Keith Lee seems to channel a lot of what Kevin Owens was doing. Johnny Gargano is a spiritual successor to Sami Zayn. People talk about what great workers these people are, and I get that to an extent, but I feel that there's still something rote and blocky about the way everyone seems to be modeled on one another. I feel like truly great workers would find a way to seem unique, even in the greater WWE environment.

Velveteen Dream is my favorite down there, because almost everything he seems to do feels organic. He's still pretty green in the ring, but even the way he works seems to draw something from who his opponent actually is, and he often sells their gimmicks better than they do.

I can't argue with this. I feel like the Dolph Ziggler of TPWW. There was once potential in me, and I used to be thought of as someone worthy of high praise, but I've been floating around with so many stop-start pushes and the same old shit for so long, everyone wishes I would just go away.

To me the last NXT Champ that felt really special was Bobby Roode. Champa has awesome heat, but once his segment/match is over its easy to forget about him just as quickly.

I think to me the main reason it's hard to get fully behind an NXT guy is because WWE has blown every single callup since Kevin Owens, which was like 3 years ago.

Check out what I wrote in June

25. Alexander Rusev -- An incredibly over wrestler WWE refuses to push
24. Big E Langston (Big E) -- Part of very successful comedy trio
23. Corey Graves -- Decent announcer, kind of a crybaby in real life
22. Bo Dallas -- Half a decade of being a jobber, now comedy jobber
21. Ember Moon -- Main roster for 2 months and has no direction
20. Antonio Cesaro (Cesaro) -- Barely considered NXT. Good tag team run
19. Tye Dillinger -- A jobber with a hand signal and chant
18. Tyler Breeze -- Part of a jobber comedy tag team
17. Baron Corbin -- Is he even a wrestler anymore, or just a constable?
16. Becky Lynch -- Losses after losses
15. Bray Wyatt -- Jobber for all the top guys, a caricature of himself
14. Adrian Neville (Neville) -- WWE couldn't see past his size, quit
13. Samoa Joe -- Really believable heel monster, WWE missing big opportunity
12. Paige -- Got drugged up, injured, and retired
11. Alexa Bliss -- Hugely successful, but this is a lie, she was nothing in NXT
10. Charlotte Flair -- WWEs golden girl, beats everybody else
9. Bobby Roode -- Cool entrance song turned him boring Babyface midcarder
8. Bayley -- Most over female, turned into whiney vindictive jobber
7. Kevin Owens -- Consistent top performer, under utilized sometimes
6. Sasha Banks -- Consistently near title, just as whiney as Bayley
5. Sami Zayn -- Wasted for years, finally given something entertaining to do
4. Shinsuke Nakamura -- King of Strong Style to evil foreign jobber
3. Seth Rollins - Like Cesaro, barely NXT. A top star
2. Asuka -- Unfeared, unintelligent, beatable sudden jobber
1. Finn Balor -- Wins just enough to not be a jobber, but not by much

Like Alexa, some of the other stars getting a good run despite being nothing in NXT include Carmella, Braun Strowman, Elias, Xavier Woods, Big Cass, and Sonya, Mandy Rose and Riott Squad.

This, OUCH. Vince really building for the future...
It's only got worse since then for everybody mentioned above not named Becky Lynch.

Joe still is over, but has jobbed out like 5 more title matches since then.

It's even worse for people who weren't even in the top 25.

Revival, Sanity, Ascension, Nia Fucking Jax, Almas isn't even on TV while his manager is in matches on Smackdown.

How can anybody really buy into current NXT Wrestlers knowing that they are gonna be horrible jobbers in the not so distant future.

Champa and Gargano will be lucky to avoid being sent to 205 Live, Undisputed Era, same thing.

Aliester Black, whatever mystique he has going for him will be gone as soon as he starts having backstage segments with R-Truth.

EC3 can go and Vince likes super jacked dudes, but the guy doesn't cut good promos.

Ricochet will be the new Neville, does cool looking moves, but jobs to main roster guys.

War Raiders, Vince isn't pushing fat hairy guys, ask Killian Dain.

Vel Dream will be stripped of any character depth, and will just be the new resident weirdo like Goldust.

Matt Riddle isn't getting a push by saying bro if Zack Ryder isn't.

Street Profits will be Vinces new Cryme Time

Bianca Belair is neither big boobed or blonde, she will be done the second she gets called up.

Kairi Sane's English is even worse than Asukas so she isn't getting anything.

They already debuted Nikki Cross back with Sanity who was in tv the first time in about 2 months cause of it.

Lars is green as goose shit, but since he looks ugly like a 1970's Vince will probably push him to the moon until it's time to job to John Cena.

Keith Lee isn't getting called up.

Honestly I think they are gonna end up going back to sending current roster guys back down to rehab their horrible booking for a while before bringing them back up to waste them all over again.

Do you mean that you're the best technical poster, and that you dare us to prove you wrong, or do you mean that you're going to snuff out your wife and kid and have people retroactively edit out any positive reactions to any of your 47k+ posts?

The NXT roster is pretty strong at the moment , every Takeover event has been top notch. The title scene has been helped by good storytelling with a long running storyline. The Undisputed Era have been pushed strong and so have Ricochet and Pete Dunne.
Guys like Keith Lee will benefit when there are call ups to the main roster, happens every time.
I like that there trying to work with some of there developmental wrestlers and hopefully they stay there for a lot longer , I’m thinking Heavy Machinery and Street Profits as examples.

The problem for a lot of the guys getting called up is that the coming into a stacked roster with no storyline for a lot of them. So they will make an entrance , win their first match and then disappear for a bit which kills their push and the main roster crowd lose interest in them. Happened with The Revival , Sanity, AOP and countless others.

Plus the expectations on some of these guys is mental, portrayed as the next big things and when they don’t live up to the hype then it’s game over. That’s why Elias has been able to do so well, everyone expected him to be a jobber from his NXT days but he found something that worked and has pushed his way up the roster.

Also these guys have no chance if Vince is changing the storyline halfway through a show cos he doesn’t like what’s going on. Especially as in the past it’s been reported of the conflict between him and HHH over the NXT guys.

I like Adam Cole enough -- there's something "intriguing" about him -- but I just can't see him working as a top heel on a show when you've got the likes of Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley on a Raw and a Randy Orton on a SmackDown. The dude is so...normal.

Bro....

They just sold out of every fairly priced tickets to TakeOver. Only floor seats are left at like 500-800 range.

NXT talent is stacked BAYBAY.

Bask in their glory

I think the product is more over than anyone on the actual roster.

The product is the roster if they didn't have the top indy guys coming in than it would have just faded away after the first roster generation.

I have no clue what you mean by that, STD. Are you suggesting that if NXT didn't have indy guys then it would have failed? I mean, I agree with that. Well, NXT itself can't be said to be a huge success profit-wise anyway. But who have they actually created at the Performance Center?

If Triple H is to be believed, Elias never did much in NXT because they felt his gimmick was much better suited for the main roster and they felt it was better to groom him for his Raw run outside of NXT programming.

Overall I feel like a great many of the non-indy NXT performers were doomed to fail on the main roster anyway.

The Ascension jump to mind immediately. In the NXT universe they were fine - it's only an hour long show and they didn't often have people on back to back shows, so you didn't really need anything more than a quick squash match from them every other week. It worked for what was needed.

Yes, they were killed dead as soon as they got called up and they instantly had JBL talking about them like they were jokes. But they were just speeding up the inevitable. Even if they had tried to book them credibly, it would've fallen apart the second they had to start doing full-length matches and it becomes clear that they can't work.
