at the fake crowd audio saying "come on Roman"
Guess WWE decided to bring over the ThunderDome's fake crowd over for NXT although a couple minutes in and its not as annoying as it was on RAW and SummerSlam. Also the NXT title might be cursed now since that's back to back reigns that ended in a big dud although to be fair one was due to injury. |

If there is one thing about NXT I have really liked about it over the years is how they treat entrances for title matches. Champs should always come out last unless its a mystery or surprise opponent.
NXT and every other promotion does that since it shows respect for the belt and champ while RAW and SmackDown do the reverse for some unknown dumb reason. |

NXT Tag title match was pretty good.
Imperium's reign with the Tag belts was one of the most forgettable ones in NXT history. |

When was the last time someone in WWE lost a PPV match via squash and then bounced right back with giving the squash treatment to someone else in their next match?
Tommasso Ciampa just did that tonight. Lost via squash at TakeOver In Your House and utterly squashed Jake Atlas tonight. Guess Ciampa randomly turned back heel based on that post-match beating and refs reactions. |

Robert Stone got run over by Shotzi's little tank.
At first, I wasn't fond of his sudden goofy change in character and the direction of his Robert Stone Brand shtick but its been growing on me these past few weeks. |

Mia Yim vs. Shotzi Blackheart was decent to pretty good.
First hour was mostly better than last week's first hour but really felt like NXT dropped the ball again with this golden opportunity they have gotten for a 2nd week in a row. Also zero mentions so far about next week's show being on a different date. |

Johnny Gargano vs. Tommasso Ciampa vs. Finn Balor vs. Adam Cole for the vacant NXT title next week should be great .... nevermind, its going to be a typical extra long NXT title match.
60 minute Iron Man match is way too much overkill for a match made up on the fly and for a regular tv episode with no build. |

Fun fact:
This NXT Cruiser title match is literally the first time Santos Escobar has defended the title since winning it in early June. |

at Escobar using a weighed masked to win via shenanigans. Don't think I've ever seen a match end that way before.
NXT Cruiser title match was very good despite the shenanigans near the end. Best thing on tonight's show so far. |

at Roderick Strong randomly dropping a chair he had for a weapon to go attack Killian Dain and fail miserably as a result.
Wonder if Drake Maverick regrets signing a new deal with WWE since they've dropped the ball big time with him ever since that huge wave of fan support and great storyline he had during the Interim Cruiser title tournament. |

Women's tag match was pretty good but nothing special though. Gonzalez got some amazing height with that powerbomb to Ripley though.
This week's episode was pretty good overall and better than last week's show but didn't really feel like "must watch" type tv either. Wade Barrett's work on commentary was very good and felt more like he's been a regular member of NXT's commentary crew this whole time instead of just randomly showing up for one-night only. |

Lol Breezango win tag titles.
NXT should just shut down their tag division |

60 minute 4 way iron man match sounds like a way to end with 2 tied on falls to settle in a 1 on 1 match.
Gave the cruiserweight match a lot of time, it was actually enjoyable. Loaded mask ending sucked though. |
