Watching Miro in that tag match was just ridiculous.

This guy is a monster, has tons of live TV experience, and charisma. The only reason he wasn’t introduced at the top of the card was either because:

1) They are sticking to their booking plans rather than calling an audible.
2) He’s not part of the cool kids yet

Or both of the above

Or neither of the above?

They bring him in at the top they get criticised for doing what TNA did; putting a WWE castoff over their own guys.

Or, bringing him in at the top means there’s only one way to go; down. I remember a lot of criticism about how Archer was handled when he came in and ended up losing to Cody.

Or, maybe the guy is happy doing what he’s doing? And they’re playing a longer game?

But those scenarios make me an AEW apologist...

Why would they stop with him? Both their single championships have only been held by WWE castoffs. Not to mention Miro already has the "WWE held me down gimmick" like half of their roster. Why stop leaning into it now, when out of all the castoffs he is probably the best they have got since Moxley.

Seems like a weird guy to start taking a stand and holding back WWE guys with.

I'm a Kip Sabian fan, so I like that Miro is teaming with him. I think they "mesh well."

But this angle seems...off. I don't hate it, but it also kinda seems below Miro.

I know that doesn't make a lot of sense, but neither does Miro being used for this story.

I’d barely consider myself an AEW fan to be honest. I watch most weeks but skip a lot of it in the same way I do all of WWE’s product. I watch it after NXT. I don’t put a penny into the pockets of AEW. I’d hardly say I’ve got a horse in the race.

There’s plenty that sucks on both shows (I personally couldn’t give a shit about Moxley for a start).

Yeah he's meshed well with Sabian pretty quickly in terms of their characters but his current angle feels more like early Dark Order territory.

Probably going to stumble along until it hits that wedding moment and then the angle sinks or swims afterwards.

Dark Order's storyline only really started to turn around for the better when the "Join the Dark Order" vignettes started to air. Then it hit a big stumbling block due to AEW pulling the trigger too fast on their big moment and had to get course corrected afterwards.

I like Sabian and Miro together. I don't care for this best man gimmick. It's weird and I don't see the endgame. I think the idea of not immediately pushing him to the moon is fine. But the current storyline is meh so far. I'd have liked it better if he was hired muscle.

Moxley's reign has been mostly unforgettable. I would like to think it would be better if it wasn't for the pandemic, but I can't make a single good promo he has given, and he has done all the same goofy shut he hated so much. Tricking Jericho out of a car, a eye patch gimmick, a different injury angle that wrote him off TV right after he won the title, being off a few weeks a different time because of covid, and a bunch of matches that didn't feel like he was in any real danger.

Jericho was awesome as champion, everything he did felt big. Nothing Moxley has some since winning the title has felt any more important than when he was Intercontinental Champion in WWE.

Kip and Miro together is fine. I just hope they don’t make Miro the dumb muscle like Wardlow and Hager. We all know he’s well beyond that in his career and it would be a huge step backwards for him.

Get off the shaft, Smeat. He shat the bed in 2016 with Brock, with Jericho, with Austin and got outshined by Styles. He's shat the bed in AEW. He's boring as fuck and a wannabe bad-ass that can't sell or throw a good working punch.

There are two types of people who present this underdeveloped opinion of Moxley as fact:

1) People who are so far up Meltzer's ass that they don't have any critical faculties of their own.

2) Modern fans without any sense of taste that are making it harder and harder for new people to get into wrestling.

That's fair, but at least you admit that you are in the minority and are not airbrushing history and making it all WWE's fault and it was actually really good just because Jon Moxley was in it and Jon Moxley is awesome, because he says so and explained why it wasn't his fault he sucked on a podcast.

I had a blast being there live. I almost want to get tix for the anniversary show in Jax next week but short notice screwed me over since I have a doctor apt and I wouldn't be able to leave til late Monday.

Full Gear a few weeks later was much better live too.

What are you referring to? I don't remember him talking about WWE at all since he left.

I normally don't agree with Noid but he's not far off with his AEW takes, just very annoying with them.

I haven't been able to get into anything Mox has done in AEW.

Jericho had an okay title run and has been insufferable since.

Orange Cassidy can be funny but his schtick gets old pretty fast.

Kenny Omega has been a pretty big flop.

Theyve turned Adam page into a stupid depressed drunk instead of a badass beer drinker like Steve Austin.

The lucha bros do the same fucking thing evevery match.

The young bucks have been ok but I expected more from them.

Mjf is great but they don't do anything with him.

Darby allin is great but he seems to get hurt pretty often.

Cage could be good but he does the same thing everyone else does.

Lance archer could be good but he does the same thing every match and they make his big man-little man matches go way too long

Dark order is garbage. Idk how to feel about brodie, his matches go way too long too.

Cody is pretty good most of the time.

Most of the womens division sucks. Shida is alright. Everywomens match goes to long and exposes their inexperience.

Every match in general goes too long. Every once in a while they'll put on a banger but for the most part every match is 10-15 min too long.

I do like the unscripted promos. Thats a breath of fresh air.

Dark is the worst show in wrestling and I wish they woyld pull the plug on it. Every match is 10 minutes of Indy going thru the motions sloppy garbage. And they just keep making it longer and longer.

Right now every wwe show is better than dynamite. Even raw.

While it may be shit, or it may be great, there are people on both sides of the fence. Shitting on others for their enjoyment is what I find weird.
