I was hoping he’d have an alternate power finisher but looking at YouTube that chinlock seems to be his actual finish. He needs to bring back the Razors Edge or a Test-style Gutwrench Powerbomb.

Entrance was alright minus the lip syncing. For the hype around this dude, there was nothing impressive.
Never understood how debuting a guy against someone less than half his size is supposed to be effective. Looked boring and WTF at the finish |

I can't pick Kross out of a lineup.
A generic looking bald guy in a goatee. He looks more like a CAW than Cody did on his debut. |

Scarlett having her last name chopped off immediately was the lock of 2020.

I downloaded a CAW for Kross for 2K19 (yeah, still playing it). The model is pretty good but obviously called Killer Cross. As neither ’killer’ or ‘cross’, or ‘karrion’ are selectable as call names I was playing around to see how close I could get it and settled on calling him Krimson Kross (using ‘Ross’ as the surname, pretty close) to call back to his old gimmick in Impact. Only problem is, Crimson was a totally different guy.
Maybe I can see those CAW criticisms. |

Purely coming from a point of never seeing the guy before his NXT debut, the coolest thing about his was his entrance.
Still a generic, tattooed bald dude who frowns really hard. |

Trying to watch YouTube highlights of this Matt Riddle vs. Thatcher match and just immediately felt like turning it off as soon as Beth Phoenix started talking... So hard to listen to... Truly feels like a bad announcer in a wrestling video game where it is just clips unnaturally spliced together...

Still leaves Cole and UE, Dream, Ciampa, Kross, Riddle, etc without a match. Lots of options for a great card. |

Well Riddle vs Thatcher looks likely. Ciampa/Cross in the works. Not sure if they do Cole/Dream again as I can’t see another challenger lined up just yet. Unless they do something with Dream/Lumis vs UE.
Some of these programmes will have to play out on TV I think. |

No, she is always like that... Just says stuff like "Wow!" and "Wow! What a move!" in a really forced, unnatural, robotic tone, like clips of her are played from a sound board or something... sucks......

I know she’s bad, just wondered if it exacerbated by the highlight format. Guess not. Cringe.

Either Dream can contort his body in a completely different direction in a millisecond or someone really screwed up the shooting and/or editing of the elbow drop. |

Landed on a crash mat, dropped the elbow from standing position, edited together badly.

Watched a replay of this week's episode a bit earlier than usual.
Fantasma vs. Akira match was pretty good. Also helped it wasn't rushed unlike the past two weeks of Cruiser tournament matches. 1st hour of NXT felt better in terms of flow or pacing than AEW's show was this week. Strong vs. Lumis was a weird match. Felt like NXT Creative didn't know how they wanted to book Lumis and it showed in both the match and ending. KUSHIDA vs. Maverick was very good. NXT's first attempt at doing a Best of the Super Jrs was pretty good in general although bit lame to deflate Maverick's big win over KUSHIDA with the 3-way tie to end the group. Shirai vs. Ripley was very good up until Charlotte randomly showed up and then it quickly fell apart. In terms of comparisons, 2nd hour of AEW felt better than NXT's show. This week's episode of NXT was very good overall and felt the better of the two shows in general this week. |

I like what they’ve done with Karrion Kross; a couple of squash matches but a pathway laid out to a destination at Takeover. So many debuts just run squash after squash (see Viking Raiders or Aleister Black for examples) with no progression. Still don’t like the Kross Jacket as a finish, and the entrance will have diminished returns the more they do it but otherwise one of the best setups for a new guy that we’ve seen.

Also, looks like we’re getting Thatcher/Riddle on TV next week rather than at Takeover.
Ciampa vs Kross Balor vs Priest Cole vs Dream or some sort of match involving UE vs Dream/Lumis Flair vs Ripley vs Shirai Burch & Lorcan vs Imperium Gargano vs Lee or Gargano/Candice vs Lee/Yim Interim CRUISERWEIGHT Championship Final Can’t see them putting all that on the show but it’ll make for some great TV matches in between. |
