6/10 verse Zack Greinke. Yeah, Shawn had a field day against this clown that was throwing BP as his pitching line of 6/10/2005 would indicate.

6/30 verse Noah Lowery. In one of the most memorable pinch hit home runs of the baseball season, Shawn Green came off the bench to launch a solo shot off of Noah Lowery in the 5th inning to ruin Lowery's shut out and cut the Dback deficit to 9-1.

I am not defending Schilling to the grave here BCWWF haha - All I said was I don't think he is done, and I don't see the big deal about him calling Palmerio a scumbag.
All he did was go on WEEI, a radio station in Boston, and voice his opinion on Palmerio. I don't think he was really intrested who cared what he thought, the radio host asked him a question and he answered it. Now I can see where in other cases where Schilling has too much, or been too vocal or whatever. Not in this case though. |

I think Schilling should probably worry about his pitching a little more and worry about Palmerieo a little less.

I think you should stick to "Colts Talk" Schilling didn't wake up and say "I need to talk about Ralphie the Scum Bag" If he did, think he would have waited? No, someone asked him about it. Really, you guys are acting like Schilling called a press confrence and release a statement, someone asked him a question, he answered. Hero - You had a team, no one cared and they're now in Washington and their best players are on other teams. Miz - You have a great team, until the pressure starts and then the choke. RP - Wait... Indy? Who'se the AAA or AA team around there? to all 3 of you. I understand what Hero is getting at, the thing is, people ask him, he's not going to them, that's where the difference is. |

I would not be surprised at all if Schilling ended up hurting them more than helping them. He keeps saying he can pitch and well get better, but what if when the postseason starts he is still this ineffective? I doubt his problems stem from rustiness, I've seen some of his starts and he is not driving at all off his ankle. I hope this doesn't happen, not because I like the Red Sox but because I don't want to here his bitching and excuses all winter
With or without him, the Red Sox have arguably the worst pitching of any AL contender |

How have you seen some of his starts though? He has only started that one game since like the start of the season. He shouldn't have even pitched at all at the start of the season. Personally I think they should have just left him in the bullpen or not used him at all and wait til he was back to 100%. That's not my decision though. I also said they should have benched Damon and Bellhorn in last years ALCS so maybe they know something I don't. He pitched fine in the 1st inning then started to break down so I think that shows the stamina is not there in his ankle at all.
The starting pitching hasn't been great but it hasn't been AWFUL either though, Wells pitched real nice today but Arroyo just flat out blew it yesterday so who knows? The Red Sox have the best offense in the majors so it will be intresting. Manny and Ortiz have a combined 230 RBIs |

I was talking more about the bullpen but there starting is pretty weak. If they go all the way they're going to be winning alot of games 12-9. I don't think they have enough pitching and defense to do it this year, yeah they have a killer lineup but look what it has done for the Yanks the last 4 years.

He hasn't always had his fastball and his placement has been on/off. The rest of the staff has been shakey. Wakefield will be good, and Wells has been on lately and I'm fairly comfortable with him in a big game. Clement has looked good, but I have no clue how he'll be with a big game on the line. So, I'm confident in two of the starters. Only really takes 3 come playoff time. The pen, Hopefully we get last years Foulke back, if not Timlin is fine, unless he's brought in with runners on base, he gets killed with runners on base. I honestly wouldn't be suprised to see Pappelbon in the rotation come playoffs. Defense isn't as good as last year and we've down a few bats (Kevin Millar), but Olerud still seems to be able to hit, the question is will the finally bench Millar. So yeah, not as good as last year, but still good and a contender. If schilling turns it on, they'll be in much better shape. That all being said, the White Sox have great pitching and thats what wins. But do they have enough bats so they don't loose 2-1? |

Yeah they had the best regular season record, they were not the best team. 116 wins was a result of no injuries and having 9 guys who gave it their all 162 out of 162 times. It did not translate to postseason success and I didn't expect it too. And they did not get "killed"; they got blown out one game, blew the Yankees out one game, and the other 3 losses were by 1 or 2 runs, each of them was close from the 1st to the 9th. The Yankees were a better team that year and anyone with half a brain could see that. Regular season records are overrated, does anybody really think Chicago is going to win the World Series? If they lose in the ALCS, will it be achoke?

Actually Miz, I've stated not too long ago that Chacin has lost his place as the ROY, IMO because he hasn't won in 4-5-6 starts now. When you and I first talked about ROYs, Chacin was a front runner with an 11-4 record. Times have changed, I'm not blind about these things.

lol was anyone listening to what Jon Miller and Joe Morgan just said? It was like this:
Jon Miller: Sportscenter 50 States in 50 Days continues tonight from Louisiana, at the duck festival Joe Morgan: Louisiana ... (long pause) Jon Miller: It is supposed to be cooling down over there (or something, dunno) It was so funny. Joe Morgan rule but sometimes he is so hilarious like that. |

5.5, looks like Twins are done again. Hopefully Johan can muster it up and win the Cy though, just to take something from the Sox.

I used to think stuff like that until last year. I really thought Tony Clark was going to take Keith Foulke deep to win the game and end the playoff run for the Sox.

I pray for every team in the NL West to lose just so I can see a team that has a piece of shit record make the playoffs. Though it would be nice to see the Giants climb up, though I'm not a huge fan of them.

Went to the Red Sox game last night, got infield seats behind the dugout for free because my dad has sweet hook ups. Ridiculous game but had to wait for 1 1/2 hours in Rain Delay.
What is the deal with Lugo? Was he the first one to be found out for steroids, everyone was on him all night. He looked like he wanted to kill someone |
