343 Industries revealed some new details including the new Agent Locke character and how Halo Nightfall will tie into Halo 5.

Agent Locke and not Master Chief was teased to be the main character for Halo 5 according to Agent Locke's voice actor.

343 Industries also confirmed the terminals found in Halo 2 for the Halo: Master Chief Collection will act as a tie in to Halo 5's story.

Halo 5 currently rumored to be arriving by November 10, 2015 according to a possible leak by someone working on the game.

November is Halo's trademark release date. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Nov of next year. The exact day means nothing.

Was Halo 4 considered a financial success? I played it a little bit because my brother bought it but it didn't seem to be that good.

They had a video on the XBone dashboard and it looks soooooooooooooooo much better in game.

Microsoft released two trailers for the game along with the official release date of October 27, 2015.

A new trailer and pre-order bonus info was released recently by Microsoft.

The pre-order gear includes the Hunter-class armor set that includes the Watershed Division’s latest warfighting technology and the Hunter-class helmet that increases situation and threat awareness. Whether the gear actually does any of this in-game remains a mystery.

What we do know if some of the moves Locke showcases in the trailer. He uses a jetpack to fly out of harm's way and a ground pound move to create shockwaves and knock ground troops down.

Not going to buy it anyway, so it doesn't really affect me one way or the other.


Still, loved the first 2 Halo's. Many a nights doing split screen games and it was kinda a big part of Halo. Pretty shitty to cater to "ZOMG 60FPS!!!!!!!"

Might get this. Dunno. If I do decide to get it, I'll probably get Master Chief Collection, as I've only ever finished Halo, ODST, and Reach. So, should probably beat the other Master Chief games first.

Having the squad and switching characters reminds me of Reach, which is the only Halo I really loved.

I like some special editions (got the MGS V one pre-ordered), but the Halo V one is hilarious. It comes with a steelbook... But the game included is a download code rather than a disc, rendering it pointless.

343 Industries states all pre-order goodies will be made available to everyone with the difference being the choice of having them available at the start with a pre-order or getting them while gradually playing the game.

Halo 5's campaign was teased to be roughly twice as long as it was in Halo 4 according to an accidental leak by Microsoft.
