If you haven't seen that run, I strongly recommend it. I never thought I would buy Bryan as a heel, but he was absolutely brilliant.

The loss to Sheamus at WrestleMania 28 did it. Fans felt robbed because they knew what a great wrestler he was, and when they got screwed out of Sheamus vs. Bryan AGAIN, they thought that was enough. It was based on the odyssey Bryan had taken to get to that spot, the skills he had acquired over years and years of training, and how the company handles talent like that. And that was the story they told too. Maybe some kids who didn't really get anything about Bryan didn't get the story at first, because they believe the WWE's story that there's only WWE, but even WWE was saying "No, this guy's career goes beyond us."

Cody Rhodes & Goldust were such a wonderful team. Goldust coming back for that one spot was a great way to use veteran talent, and he kicked the door down and became one of the best babyfaces-in-perils in the business. Cody fucking flew off those hot tags too. They were the right choice to take the belts from The Shield.

They should have beaten The Outlaws and then gotten a straight tag match with The Usos at WrestleMania XXX. The Usos could have won, then Cody & Goldust could have turned heel in the wake, playing a veteran villain team (even though Cody was like 28) and been their first hurdles. They really fumbled with them post-Rumble.

Yeah I'm not going back and watching Bryan on Smackdown. I'm pretty sure that was about the same time as Punks long WWE title reign that I checked out on and quit watching for a while. I don't hate the guy I just feel he didn't have any business near the main event. Also any time he talks it feels like he's trying to remember lines but that's more of a WWE problem than a Bryan problem.

As for Drake I just find the guy entertaining and I dont remember him ever telling the fans to say yeah either. Started with his Dummy Yeah button. I dont see the Rock stuff like you do though, maybe in his tone a bit but I'm not going to fault a guy for learning something from one the greatest to ever step in the ring.

Personally I think its silly to compare WWE and TNA active talent. Its 2 totally different promotion on different levels. and that's also how I view them. I don't watch TNA expecting it to be the greatest wrestling show possible like I do with WWE. Same with ROH I don't hold them the same standards that I hold WWE to.

If you do anything a lot people will catch on. It's just weird that you apply that logic to the YES chants, which were actually over, but don't to the shit that is actually repeated because people know the lines. Like The Miz's "awesome" shtick.

The promotions are on two very different levels, you are correct. The gap has also widened because TNA has mismanaged itself and the talent there that was on a world class level. Now they are left with the dregs WWE doesn't want, because they either cut them from developmental because they saw nothing or they have histories of drug abuse and/or domestic violence.

AJ Styles was TNA. Samoa Joe was TNA. How do they compare? I'd probably say that AJ Styles is the best thing in WWE, and Joe could be right up there. It's TNA's fault they don't have them anymore, and have to rely on these guys that just aren't good enough to make developmental. There is plenty of talent that is not in WWE that is on that level, so I think that is a cop-out when it comes to Drake anyway.

As for him copying Rock? I get the theory, but it plays way too obviously. You also set expectations high and when you miss, you miss bad. You can take things that worked and filter them through your voice, but the guy just wants to be Rocky so bad, and it's so obvious.

You are right on TNA mismanaging talent. I've said it before it one of TNAs biggest problems. But they have gotten everything right with EC3 and Eli Drake has been booked to be in that position as TNAs next up and coming name. Do I think he will be as successful as EC3 no but he's still a solid enough talent for TNA.

As for Bryan, I remember watching him when the NXT stuff was like Tough Enough on Raw. Stopped watching for a while and when I started back Bryan as in the main event and I just thought it was dumb. I'd seen him in ROH before but wasn't really impressed with him. Also know he has a bunch of fans and some are easy to troll by bashing him.

Dude, not to be a dick or anything, but you flat out admit that you missed out on the entire build that Bryan had before becoming a main event superstar. If you didn't see that build you will never understand why people like him, and since you refuse to even give that buildup a look you basically forfeit your ability to give a worthwhile opinion on him. What you're doing is the equivalent to watching the first 10 minutes of Star Wars and then skipping to the very end. Of course you're not gonna understand why something is considered great when you miss out on the entire story.

I agree with you some what but its not like I haven't ever seen him. Of what I've seen I haven't liked. I doubt if I went back and watched that it would change my opinion of the guy. Its more than just his yes chants that I find annoying. I hated his finisher and he was boring in the ring but that's just me. There are some talent you just don't like and Daniel Bryan is one of mine. You guys can like him all you want, he just does nothing for me. I'd never skip through Star Wars by the way.

I get what you're saying, I'm just saying that if you aren't going to check out what made people like him you'll never really "get it" is all. I think if you had seen his rise you'd at least have an understanding of what Noid is saying when he says that Bryan has charisma. I mean the fact that you didn't know how the YES! chants started is part of what I mean. Looking at something like those chants in the context you saw them in it's easy to just think "it's people just following along," but if you'd seen how they started and evolved you'd realize that it took a lot of charisma and talent to get people to chant YES! so passionately.
