Yeah but the Hardy's were an exception to what had become the rule whereas before then they were the rule.
That's why it's so easy to find awful jobbers in old WWE and not so much in later years. |

Oh, and speaking of the Mulkeys. And Corny making references to Stan Lane's many talents. |

More Mulkeys vs. Midnight goodness. This one with Dennis Condrey and the two most horrific bumps you will ever see. |

1999 Rick Steiner jobber matches are the best. Here he beats the living shit out of Chase Tatum

Lol remember when Rick Steiner decided to shoot on Konnan right at the end of WCW? apparently Konann had injured some of Rick's friends, so rick decided to get some payback. The main incident was Lex telling Konnan that his neck was fucked, so go easy on it. Konnan proceeded to do the opposite.

First thing that came to mind was that match where Koko beat the shit out of that guy. That parting shot at the end was glorious.

I remember another match where Antonio Inoki beat the shit out of a big fat guy for not selling too. Good stuff.

While not a match per see, always found it a bit creepy as a kid back in the day whenever Undertaker had squash matches and would stuff the jobber in a body bag afterwards to never be seen again.
When I think of late 80s to mid-90s WWF jobber matches, that usually comes up first in my head for memorable moments. |

There's a Varisty Club (Steiner and Rotunda) vs Chono and Super J match from 2000 WCW where Steiner just decides to shoot on everyone. I've been trying to find it on youtube for a while.

Man that match was horrible. Rick Steiner did not look the least bit interested.
I liked when he came in and just booted Chono in the leg while it was tied up then socked him right in the eye. But God Damn was that an ugly, broken match. I guess after getting hit a few times you don't really care how it looks anymore. |

Adrian Byrd's only win. My fucking god was he ever bad. Buddy Lee Parker was a terrible trainer. Horrible match, but every Byrd match is like this. Roided up Bettlejuice.

I'd have loved the Austin/Bulldog feud to have a bit more legs, but the logistics didn't make sense. Tweener/babyface Bulldog was awesome in late 96/early 97. |

I have zero recollection of that feud. I gotta go back and watch those 96 Raws. The WWF was getting really good around Wrestlemania 96

97******** This is from the month before Royal Rumble 97. 1996 was a good year for show quality, though. They just lacked the buzz of the nWo.

In 1988 the AWA had this big goof named Rocky Mountain Thunder. Completely untrained. Wasn't around long and was never seen again...….until 1996 where he popped up in a dark match against Jim Duggan at a WCW Saturday Night Tapings.
He's lucky he didn't kill the jobber here. |

This is legitimately one of the scariest things I have ever seen. Just a series of terrifying near botches followed by a mindblowing actual botch which fucks the jobber guy up so much he says "nah you aint doing that to me again you fucking maniac, give me a hip toss" and that's it... That looked like a bedroom match between brothers, one who moved out quite some time ago and had to move back in due to "poor lifestyle choices". |

I'm not going to bullshit you Dale, that starts very strong and then gets quite boring because of how one sided it is. But that lariat came from a fucking evil place man. That's easily the best Hansen lariat I have ever seen. Outkast wrote "So Fresh and So Clean" after that lariat. Snap wrote "I've Got The Power" after that lariat. Kevin Wacholz lost the ability to write after that lariat. |

What sarcasm? Hell, I was going to mention one of my favorite jobber eras: Chris Jericho as Undisputed Champion. You didn't just get a jobber being killed in matches, the jobber had two fancy belts to go along with it. It was nothing but win!

I think I've posted about this guy before. In 1982, Mighty Joe Thunder appeared on Championship Wrestling. Thunder was a guy from the 60's who wrestled as Bob Stanlee, and boy does he wrestle like he's from the 60's. He was supposed to be a World Title Challenger for Backlund, but he lasted 1 T.V taping
