That chokeslam was only marginally better than the famous botched one vs Hogan. |

I'm willing to bet a few days from now we here the Goldberg was working through a concussion in this match.

Andrade vs Finn was the best match of the night. That has to be on a main PPV. Put that match on at Summerslam and watch it steal the whole fucking show. It was amazing. It deserved 5 more minutes tonight and it's a damn shame it didnt get it. Such a great match. I dont trust that WWE will recognize a gem ( Andrade v FInn ) when they see one. I'm guessing it will end in Saudi. Fucking hate WWE.

Goldberg was clearly concussed. It was obvious to everyone everywhere who has ever seen anything.
And they let him go 5 more minutes. And let him try to lift a 300 lb man multiple times. What a fucking company this is. |

I'm not sure if you're being serious at this point, but I 100% agree. I think he was concussed.

Totally. That and the heat and being old and not in ring shape. Taker was wise to just go for the choke slam there is no way Goldberg was going up for another Tombstone, he couldn't even jump for a chokeslam. Compared to the other two recent Taker matches where someone got concussed (vs Brock at Mania and the last Saudi show) they improvised well.
Sure the jackhammer was "botched" but it it still looked effective and the whole moment was still cool. To me. Taker is probably getting tired of these botches in his matches though. He should be working younger more agile guys if he's going to work at all. Though I'm still glad they did the Goldberg match. |

I think the botches all go to Goldberg getting concussed. There was lots of moments but the ones linked in the above posts are the main ones. Goldberg didn't have the strength or wind to get Taker up for a good stalled Jackhammer and he didn't have the strength to support himself on the Tombstone so he totally took a shoot tombstone lol. Man I hope he's okay. I fucking love his realism even if it's this real.

One thing I want to say about WWE positive is that WWE Network is by far one of the best streaming apps available. I am going to re-watch the Goldberg match and I don't have to wait any time at all for a replay. Where as for Bleacher Report or Fite you have to wait a few hours. WWE Network is second only to Netflix IMO.

Goldberg rammed his head into a post and could not perform the rest of the moves they had planned.

I would say overall this is by far the best of the Saudi show's so far. I think there was something at least decent in every match I saw. I did fall asleep during Braun and Bobby but that's normal, it's hard to to make it through a full WWE show for me lol. I missed Dolph and Kofi.
Mansoot's victory was probably the best part of the show. |

The jackhammer was more likely a miscommunication between the two, but seeing as he was obviously fucked up at the time it's hardly surprising. he went for it before undertaker was ready resulting in a brainbuster lookalike. |

Mansoot listing of the cities in Saudi Arabia reminds me of Henry V listing off the Lord's before The Battle of St. Crispian.

We all know that ref has an earpiece connected backstage. Any concerned adult could’ve said hey Goldberg looks really fucked up, check on him or give him a breather. And no one said shit. They were like oh hey we know a jackhammer and tombstone are coming, they’ll probably be fine. |

Honestly though, the best way to end this geriatric nostalgia matches is for somebody to get seriously injured.

I don't have the same expectations when I watch WWE as I do watching NJPW or AEW... So I enjoyed this show. My twitter timeline is slaughtering it though, lot's saying it was the worst PPV ever. I just don't see it that way at all. I think was a little more clear of a show direction wise than recent months and I enjoyed the action a lot. I just wish that there would be a consistent through line over the course of time with the stories, or at least a more logical interesting one that builds up the championships and the champions and relies less and less of angles with the "authority" and talk show style segments.
This show reminded me of a modern day WWF Coliseum World Tour VHS. Fairly self contained unto itself but still pretty fun. I just hope Mansoot get's to capitalize on that awesome moment. |

I think he was kinda dazed by the corner post spot and then the tombstone made sure he was concussed. That tombstone was nastyyyyyyyyyyy. Way worse than the botched jackhammer imo.

At this point they may as well bring back Ric Flair and Hogan for a match, wouldn't take much to outdo tonight's main event, just flair chopping, flopping and wooing would do it.

Buzzing the results on the main page and here in the thread.
Good golly god damn at those vids of 'Taker/Goldberg. Both of them need to just go away permanently. Did Orton/Triple H really need 25 minutes? Monday should be fun, maybe. |
