Let's analyze the younger guys on WWE's roster
What level do you think they will reach? Let's say guys under 30. You can leave Orton off for obvious reasons
Cody Rhodes - mid to upper midcard Evan Bourne - upper midcard Festus - midcard (had no idea this guy was only 25) Jack Swagger - World Champion Kofi Kingston - upper midcard, sporadic main eventer The Miz - mid to upper midcard Primo Colon - midcard Ted Dibiase - World Champion Curt Hawkins - midcard Dolph Ziggler - upper midcard Jimmy Wang Yang - midcard but probably not John Morrison - World Champion JTG - midcard Shad - mid to upper midcard Zack Ryder - upper midcard Haven't seen enough of the Hart Dynasty or the new guys on ECW to make much of a judgment |

I think Sheamus is money but he's doomed to fail if his name is just Sheamus. Sheamus O'Shaunessy was perfect.

I think that two men that will really surprise are both members of Cryme Tyme. The more and more I see of him, the more and more I think that Shad Gaspard is money. The dude is big, he can talk, he is likeable, he has ring presence, he can move and he's green enough that he can still get quite a bit better in the ring. In a few years, I think Shad will be main eventing.
JTG has got the obstacle of size against him, but he's one of the youngest guys on the WWE roster. He is a guy that will succeed despite his size, in my opinion, and while I wouldn't put money on the guy headlining a WrestleMania, it would not surprise me to see him rack up a couple of IC/US Title victories. And once he's reached that stage, who knows how easy it will be for him to climb even further. Another guy I'd like to mention is Primo Colon. The dude is so young, and has been quite successful in his career so far. Give him some time, and I can see the guy actually getting a really meaty push. |

Primo Colon is about 12 inches too small to even be considered for anything other than a rare IC title run or something. The guy has the world of talent but they took 2 years to sign the guy because of his height. |

As for Primo, you have a point, but I never said the guy will be World Champion -- I just think he will be surprisingly successful in the WWE. |

By the way, here is a complete listing of guys under 30 in the WWE:
Cody Rhodes (24) Curt Hawkins (24) David Hart Smith (22) Dolph Ziggler (28) Evan Bourne (26) Festus (25) Gabriel (26) Jack Swagger (26) Jimmy Wang Yang (28) John Morrison (29) JTG (24) Kofi Kingston (27) The Miz (28) Paul Burchill (29) Primo (26) Shad Gaspard (28) Ted DiBiase (26) Tyson Kidd (28) Zack Ryder (24) I'm not sure about Sheamus, who someone mentioned. I can't find his age anywhere. Of those guys, I think the talent is pretty strong. I've already talked about Cryme Tyme and Primo, so I'll give them a skip. Of the men listed above, I think the most sure-fire World Champions would be David Hart Smith, Jack Swagger and John Morrison. Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler are likely to end up with some major achievement to their name's, as well, but I don't think they are quite as bankable as the first pack of names. Ted DiBiase will likely get his time in the sun, although I don't see what is so good about him. I've got a funny feeling that Festus will one day get a World Title, too. Probably not as Festus, but under a different gimmick. He has proven that he can play characters, and I think the WWE tries to give him a serious monster push one day. |

I think Ziggler looks 100x better after his hair is tussled in the match. When it's all slicked back, he looks...bad. But after the matches, he looks much better.
This, of course, has no bearing on anything. |

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I agree with Noid on the main event potential of Shad and the upper midcard potential of JTG. They could be the ghetto Diesel/HBK.

That is exactly what I was thinking. I didn't want to compare JTG to Shawn Michaels, though, because I figured people would take it as me saying JTG is as good as HBK. I would merely be referencing the style of character (arrogant small guy who achieves despite his size).

I could see Festus repacked and pushed to the upper card. Give him a mask and a hired gun gimmick for Ted.

Cody Rhodes (24) - Upper mid-card
Curt Hawkins (24) - Jobber David Hart Smith (22) - World Champion if he can keep clean Dolph Ziggler (28) - Upper mid-card Evan Bourne (26) - an upset WH Champion (similar to Mysterio) Festus (25) - Future endeavors Gabriel (26) - Hopefully repackaged, then mid-card. If not, future endeavored Jack Swagger (26) - WH Champion Jimmy Wang Yang (28) - Jobber (unless repackaged, asian redneck gimmick is stale) John Morrison (29) - WH Champion (next Chris Jericho, can be used in ME when needed, or be the 'highest' mid-carder) JTG (24) - Tag Team Jobber/ future endeavored Kofi Kingston (27) - Upper mid-card The Miz (28) - Upper mid-card Paul Burchill (29) - Upper mid-card Primo (26) - lower mid-card. Shad Gaspard (28) - see JTG Ted DiBiase (26) - WH Champion (one of the best young talent there is) Tyson Kidd (28) - Hopefully mid-card, but I can see future endeavored if Bulldog Jr. is pushed Zack Ryder (24) - lower mid-card |

Jimmy Wang Yang- poop....................................... JTG -he needs to quit actin like he's so hard, no ones buyin it Kofi Kingston -maybe world champ some day, but they cant make everyone the champ The Miz - hate him or love him he will be damn good Paul Burchill- bring in the ripper gimmick with the ski mask, bad ass heel shit there Primo-tag u.s. and i.c Shad Gaspard-he gotta prove his worth Tyson Kidd -maybe some day, that elbow off the ropes is the shit Zack Ryder-youre fired Ezekiel Jackson could be a monster if they give him a chance again, not everyone can be the champ... there is already a bunch on the rosters that have been there for years and have not won the big titles, (not includint the ecw title) Christian Matt Hardy- better get his day he earned it Mark Henry them three right there should be in line soon for the big push Jeff Hardy too he's won the world title twice but they wont let him hold it for more than a week, but with his track record its understandable so the young guys have prove themselves first......... |

I'm surprised at how young Jimmy Wang Yang is. That means that back when he was competing in WCW in 2001, he would have been like...20 years old? The man has got a lot of experience, and is pretty captivating in the ring. I think he might actually have a fairly safe job as the kind of enhancement talent Funaki has kept a job as for the last fucking decade or so.
Yang could even be one of those guys that ends up as a road agent. I just wish that they'd do more with him on-screen. I'm still for Yang and Jamie Noble teaming up. |

As a casual fan(which I am when it comes to the WWE), their new guys all look the same. Maybe it just me but it's like McMAHON has a plant of clones somewhere. Nobody stands out, they look like Mark Jindrak or Randy Orton.

Jimmy Yang is 28? I didn't realise he was so young in WCW...having said that he was in the Jung Dragons but still, he was in WCW and having matches at 18/19?

He made his TV debut in January 2000, but would assume he was wrestling dark matches and house shows long before that.
