Right? And they would usually have red tags instead of the standard blue because they were a 24 or 48 hour rental.
I remember moving to the East side and discovering Red Giraffe Video. Their rentals for movies and SNES games was 7 days, standard. That was where I discovered this strategy game called "Gemfire". Dunno why I liked that game so much, as its the only one of it's genre I've ever played, but I rented that game for a month straight. Mmmmeeeemmoooorrrriiieeeesssssssss. |

Yeah Terminator 2: Judgement Day was so good my dad let me watch it when I was 7 or 8.
It coloured my imagination permanently. James Cameron turned out to be a huge weirdo but I guess that’s the thin end of the wedge in Hollywood. Plus he’s smart enough to leave Terminator alone now. If he directs another Terminator then it’s because Avatar turns out to be a Ponzi scheme he wasn’t in on. |

T2 is unquestionably a better made film. That said, the first film has a level of tension that, while not absent in T2, is severely lessened by the the sole fact that the protagonists have their own walking killing machine protecting this time around. So I can totally see people who lean more towards horror and suspense preferring the first film.

There’s no argument to be made over which is the better film.

Not objectively, but subjectively somebody could like the first one better.
Anyways, I'm very excited to see The Suicide Squad. |

Only a serial rapist would say they preferred The Terminator.

The first director delivered a turd that the studio appears to have butchered due to meddling and wanting it to be more guardians of the galaxy. Then Gunn got canned from Disney for a bit and WB ran and gave him this franchise to go ape shit work and apparently it’s paid off.
I’m interested to see Ayer’s cut but I’m not trying to pretend he’s some grade A filmmaker. He’s very hit or miss, critically. |

This was fantastic. Really enjoyed it.
Cena has definitely improved as an actor. He has some really good moments in this moments in this movie. He might actually be my favorite character in the movie. Margo did a much better job with Harvey's accent this time. Feel like it was barely there in the first one. SPOILER: show Last edited by Fignuts; 08-06-2021 at 01:49 AM. |

I actually liked this film; I'd say it is probably the best of the recent DC films, which isn't saying much, given how low the bar was to begin with, but Gunn definitely undid the clusterfuck of the first film.
I look forward to GotG 3. |

What a helluva movie, seriously the best I've seen in a very long while. From start to finish, it just kept it moving. The comedy is fucking great. I now understand what people mean when they speak about Gunn.

Can fit "Jinkies!" in there too, for the inevitable Scooby Doo crossover.
