IN ANY CASE seems like a horrible missed opportunity. Why bring it out on WiiU, 2-3 years later than you probably should've, at $10 more than on other consoles, if you're not even going to utilize the hardware (and the single greatest potential selling point for grabbing the game on this console as opposed to others)... like why even bother

I'm hoping this wasn't Nintendo's decision, like [tinfoil hat] Microsoft didn't want a competing platform to have the "better version" of the game so they refused to allow the WiiU port to use the Gamepad [/tinfoil hat]


Being that I don't own the game on any platform at all, I was considering grabbing it for the WiiU to see what all the fuss was about. But eh

The lateness can be explained due to the creator of the game constantly refusing to port the game to Nintendo systems before he got bought out by Microsoft. Think it was more of him not liking Nintendo than anything technical with the Wii U/3DS.

Rumor floating around that a Fire Pro game for the NX is being planned. Not some shitty thing using Miis like the xbox avatar one, but a real 2d style firepro.

Spike/chunsoft, are tight with Nintendo as they make all the pokemon mobile games, so this could have some truth to it.

Not going to get my hopes up, but my god. If this gets confirmed, I will own an NX on day 1.

Another image from the comments section had a controller design that sort of looked like a hybrid between the Pro Controller and the old keyboard-based Gamecube controller.

There are side-by-side vids showing the game is near pixel perfect in movement and hit effects. It probably looks weird because it emulated the 2D games too close. That's why, for me, the animations look off.

The developer thought about that situation and their answer to all that ask is "no refunds." Excuse is that they need all the funds right now for development even though the project has some serious problems going on.
