The only upside to the TBS move is if it’s a macro strategy to drive people to HBO Max. It’s not going to be as popular as BBT in that time slot — especially with women. So it’s kind of a noose around AEW’s neck for any other reason.

My prediction is that AEW eventually gets pushed to a later slot when advertisers and audiences want their sitcom back.

I guess you guys haven't read about the additional terms on the TBS deal which tripled the income over the length of the original deal with TNT.

AEW on TBS is 3x more profitable than on TNT WHICH IS EHY TONY HAS SIGNED 3X MORE WRESTLERS

When that stuff isn’t included, I think it does omit a large slice of what people’s tastes are and how they like to spend their time.

It’s important to know what sort of original programming is working, but it just leaves out the context of how effective original programming is at all.

It just says "Top 1,000 Cable Shows" with no caveats that I could find from skimming the article, so presumably it's all cable shows including reruns. No reason to assume stuff is omitted since they didn't say it was (from what I could see, unless I missed something)

I agree completely, and I dont even think it is the quality, because even when they hold off on the biggest stuff until the 3rd hour, that 3rd hour is still the lowest rated. I dont know if people are just tuning out to go to sleep, or if 2 hours is enough.

Id be interested to see how they would do with a 3 hour show from 7-10 instead of 8-11. Would he 3rd hour still drop off, or would they keep the ratings up until 10:00pm like they do now.

A 3hr show is just not doable every week. That third hour is always going to suck and when you use that to skewer the WWE Raw rating, it doesn’t really reflect how each hour does in its respective slot. USA seems fine with the third hour being what it is. I don’t think WWE are concerned by a show-wide average.

Kenny is probably a bigger star than Brock in the eyes of most fans because Kenny wrestles every week and so statistics say that Kenny is the bigger draw and ratings star because he appears more often than WWE's Brock Lesnar.

In the eyes of most fans? I'm being 100% serious here when I say you are literally the first person I have ever heard say Kenny Omega is a bigger star than Brock Lesnar. Brock has mainstream appeal and recognition; no one outside of wrestling fans has any idea who Kenny is.
