The NXT roster is full of young guys. Can't really think of any of them that fit the mold either though.

"Team" anything sucks. It screams "makeshift tag team".
Also, Cody and Sandow are just weird together. |

Drew McIntyre & Wade Barrett should form a "mutual alliance" on opposite shows where they dominate each brand and hold the respective world titles, they can even both have Regal as a manager...... there is your 2 next big stars.....you could then start building some secondary "American" stars who can use patritism to get over (see Kurt Angle, The Patriot, Duggan, Slaughter, etc.).....

Though I like that they've given Barrett a little depth to his character.

hmm... next top star has to be in his 20s right now... honestly no one comes to mind. Kinda hope this is just a rumor as if it's true I see many unwarranted pushes in the future just to see if someone "clicks". Only guy with "the look" I can think of is Mason Ryan but I have no clue how old he is and honestly the guy has no business ever being in a main event.

Drew maybe but his mic work is horribad. Cody's too damn small and Ryder will never get that main event push so long as Vince is in charge.

Yeah most of the potential young guys are pretty small in terms of the typical type Vince loves or need a lot more development/work to be done.
Even Sin Cara who is meant to be the next Rey and star of the Latino market has no chance since he's 29 and probably would be 31 before he could even potentially starts reaching top status like Rey has. |

Bray Wyatt is only 25 and is goddamn amazing.
Not a face of the company though. An antagonist for the face of the company, definitely... |

Oh he's Harris! Fuck yeah forgot about ol' Husky. From the little I've seen his new gimmick does seem pretty awesome, but he's definitely not face of the company material. I'd buy him as a top heel though.

Currently have Fire Pro R running in an emulator pretty flawlessly for simming. Currently watching an 80s vs 90s elimination tag. Hogan, Savage, Flair and Sting vs. Austin, Rock, Taker and Benoit. No pinfalls yet at 30 mins. Currently a clusterfuck.
Also accidentally left the arena on the warehouse. The match of the century is happening in a CZW arena apparently, with no fans and two cameramen. |

Austin, Rock and Benoit all just tapped to the Figure Four from Flair within like three minutes game-time. Flair and Sting vs. Taker now. Taker just chokeslammed them both.
And Flair pins Taker after a punch at 53 minutes lol. YOUR WINNERS OF THE MATCH OF THE 20th CENTURY

The depiction of SummerSlam 2004 was incorrect. As everybody remembers, it was WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield who defeated The Undertaker via disqualification in the main event.
Shortly after The Undertaker chokeslammed JBL through the roof of his limousine, a very excited Randy Orton along with a local unknown wrestler ran out to the ring, stumbled and fell-face first on the mat. Referee Earl Hebner would then reveal the missing big gold belt (which he was planning to sell along with his other fake WWE merchandise) and award it to Randy Orton. Howard Finkel immediately announced Randy Orton as the new World Heavyweight Champion. And that's that. |

If they are looking for someone to be that next Cena-level mega star, they wont find it. Sort of reminds me of the Bret Hart/Diesel era, where there was no Hogan and Austin was not there yet.

I have often thought that Derrick Bateman has a Cena-esque quality about him sometimes. As in over the top cheesy.

The Divas Division could actually be a huge part of WWE programming. TNA has had great success with female wrestling in the past. What the WWE lacks are distinctive characters and compelling storylines in the Divas Division. Plus, as "empowered" as the WWE tries to present their division as -- the Divas are still exploited as eye-candy. There's nothing wrong with the women being sexy, at all, but the WWE shouldn't be so fixed on that one type of female performer. Bring in some older female veterans and some less attractive girls that can wrestle. Hire maybe two joshi, have one earn a contract by beating the other and let the other go to NXT and work down there with some of the girls. She can eventually get called up to the main roster and feud with the girl that beat her originally.
Storylines for the girls is important, and I actually think the Divas Division would benefit if it had its own writer. It's hard to do that with other divisions, since the male talent roster is essentially pooled; but the females seem to exist, at least when it comes to in-ring stuff, in their own little realm. |
